Default South Bay suggestions for brake replacement

Hey guys,

I need to replace the front brake pads and rotors on my G-sedan. The dealership is telling me $540. Can someone suggest a shop near the southbay (torrance, carson, long beach) area that can do this?

To make it more complicated, a shop in San Marcos, infinite motion, says they can do it for $100 less using Centric Rotors. (Long story guys, I work and live part time in NC San Diego)

Thanks,

Tenn

I've tried calling Status in the South Bay, but I haven't heard a reply from them yet.

I would really recommend that you take the time and go to Precision Z in Canoga Park, but if you can only go to a shop in the South Bay I would recommend a Mom & Pop shop that is really well known to the locals:

Chiefs Complete Car Care in Hermosa Beach

http://losangeles.citysearch.com/pro..._car_care.html

The owners (Ken & Martha) are really trustworthy and I have taken my car to them in the past.

Other than Precision Z, they are the only other shop that I would take my own car to.

Status is @ SEMA this week.

if you're in the southbay-

Torrance- TechnoSquare (ask for Howard)
Gardena- Finish Line Auto Craft (ask for Jesse)

nothing wrong with Centric Rotors.. they are the parent company of StopTech.. (and Power Slot)

brake jobs are pretty easy you can DIY...

Ches, I knew I could count on you! (I forgive the fact you are a Bruin) Anyway, I'll check them out. Trust me if I had the time and patience, i would do them myself, but I have neither.

Oh and I don't have a problem with Centric, I was just surprised they could do if for $100 less using a higher quality rotor.
