Default Anyone live in Long Beach?

i have been thinking of moving to long beach for a while now. i have been in OC for 10 years now and am need of a change.
the rents are much cheaper in LB than OC so i could get a really nice place and ideally live in one of the high rises.

how do you like living there? pros cons?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I dont live in Long Beach, I live next to it in Carson. Long Beach is really nice. I have friends who live out there and I actually hang out in Long Beach and do my jogging by the beach out there once a week. Those high risers are really nice too. I wouldnt mind living in one of those high risers.
good luck

I don't live in Long Beach on a regular basis, but I do own a condo by the bike path where ^^^ blackwidow jogs. Not a high rise, though, but I love it here. I can walk right onto the sand, can see the sunrise/sunset and a breathtaking view of the ocean and hear the waves as I fall asleep. I usually bike ride to the Queen Mary and all along the ocean.

The rent for something like this for 1bdrm is about 2k/mo, I think, I'm sure the high rises will be more. If you don't need the view, then 1600. The parking situation is horrible, though, if you don't have your own space. Long Beach is a vast place, with good places and the bad. Along the ocean, Belmont Shores, Naples Island are all nice places. Belmont Shores is a great place to hang out.

I'm also looking to possibly move to Long Beach from the OC sometime within the next year.
I have only been able to find a couple high rises online though...
Where are you looking into for info? And what's your price range. I'm looking into 1 or 2br for around $1.5k per month

I'd like to get more info as well

Yeah I live in LB for the past 1/5 years due to going to school at CSULB. Anyway, I'm near the beach and its great but you do need a parking spot though. I have a garage LOL but I would totally not live in the area without the garage.

i live in an apartment, on 2nd near temple... its a 2br for 1.5k a month. quiet area to be honest cause our apartment is located in the back between a larger apartment. on the outside, it looks like a house.
