Default Moving on...

After 5 great years, I've traded the Z for a used BMW 335i.

The decision had nothing to do with the Z, which has been a blast to drive and was absolutely problem-free. The only issue was its lack of a back seat. My fiance has a 12-year-old daughter, so more seating has become a necessity.

Thanks to all on this board for the advice and entertainment. I'll still be checking in occasionally to see what's happening in the Z community.

P.S. - With the change, I'll be selling my OEM Bose headunit and an '06 airbox with K&N filter. Link is here: https://my350z.com/forum/socal-marke...ml#post7958642

Nice, I was a step away to getting a 335i when I found a buyer for my car, but he backed out at the last minute. Have fun with it, it's one fast ****

Nice choice. The 335i is actually faster than a stock Z.

It has plenty of power -- 300 hp and 300 ft lbs of torque from 2000 rpm on up.

And because it's a twin turbo setup, it's easy to squeeze more out of it with aftermarket "enhancers" like the Juice Box, etc.

OP Congrats on the 335i...however, being an owner of one I will say they do have reliability issues. My turbos failed me just shy of one year of owning it...amongst other issues. I hope it's still under warranty. Crazy as it sounds, but my boosted G is more reliable than my 335i. I wish you the best of luck with it.

Agreed, the 335i has had reliability issues. I'm hoping for the best, but in the worst case, I have a warranty for the next 3 years or 100K miles.

Fingers crossed...
