Westside Z Car Coalition Details:
"Ok...let's get something straight: if you're idea of having fun with your Z is going to show'n'shines and cars and coffee... I suggest that you don't apply. This is a group for hardcore Z guys (we do accept women BTW) who are about it, 'bout it. That means you like to autocross, you love to nose-to-tail, you love to run the canyons, you'll drive 30 miles out of your way just to follow another Z car you saw on the highway. It means you're willing to race a go-kart, you're not offended by titty bars, you don't make excuses for not wanting to drive ("my cat is pregnant"). This group is small and it's going to stay that way because most of the Z people I meet (on meetup) just aren't that serious. If you know why we call Classic Z's S30's and why we call 370Z's Z34...then you may have what it takes. The rest of you can **** off! We don't need new members, but we will consider someone who truly lives the life style."
Canyon Run Details:
"Every year on New Years days about 80 sportscars (mostly Porsches) make a canyon run. Art and myself did it last year and we laid waste to more than 90% of the field. We smashed Porsches, Evo's, Mustangs...and a fair amount of S2K's.
I'm going to be honest with you, this is drive is strictly for those with superior driving skill. The speeds can get a little fast and there's a lot of macho ******** going on with the poseur crowd. You really need to know your limits if you are going to go on this drive and we aren't going to slow down for you if you get dropped so... get in where you fit in.
Since this drive is kind of illegal.. there will be no details on this event. If you want in RSVP and I'll email you and discuss if you really wanna be part of this...
...but I will tell you that it was pretty ****ing sweet the way Me and Art put it on them. All we heard was jokes about our "old rusty Z's" all during the pre-race festivities.... they were very surprised to learn that the only thing stock on our cars, is the brake fluid.
...anyways.. if you are promising yourself that you're going to do some serious driving this year...then you should come out....
if your ******* tends to pucker when your Z gets loose in the ***...then you should stay home... and if you don't believe me...ask Luis... he went last year...he'll tell you what's up
