hey op... just a question... are you going to go to school here or just work here? because depending on where your school or work is located, you might not want to stray too far from it because of the traffic situation on weekdays. just a suggestion.

I live way south (by the border) near Tijuana. It sucks here. I will tell you, it is expensive, people are snobs or cholo ghetto people blasting horrible music, and if you dont go to downtown San Diego there is not ***** to do. I moved here from Miami, FL for work. Boy can I not wait for the day to move back home. BTW, my rent for a ONE bedroom is over $1300!!!! Blasphemy

so it seems everyone is suggesting o.c
um i have a plumbing license so i can go there and find work doing that and see where that takes me maybe a local union or whatever. but not 100% sure if maybe i wanna go back to school and pursue something else.

traffic situation here in toronto sounds just as bad i drive 45 mins to work in traffic everyday it sucks ***. but i mean i guess theres no way around that.

so im kinda confused by what is exactly o.c because while i was looking on craigslist under orange county lots of different names came up under the o.c category like huntington beach, anahiem, anahiem hills, villa veujo, umm lotsa places so are all of these in orange county or like right beside?

i saw lots of places have rooms for rent in houses or 2/3 bdrm condos. and some were like a block from the beach again is that o.c? cause the names were all different it confused me. also some places included my own garage thats a huge plus think i need to find a place like that.
man you guys are worrying me with this car theft bs. is it that bad haha how would i know where and where not to park my car. gonna have to get a heavy duty alarm. if that will even help lol.

test pipes are pretty safe.. cops are still dicks about mods tho..

OC = orange county.. its a county. so lot of cities inside OC.. if u watch the show OC, it pretty much summons it up.. pretty upper society neighborhoods compare to most other places

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Burbank/Glendale area. I personally live in Glendale, and I'll be up front it's not that cheap. There's a reason for this. Glendale and Burbank are located very close to just about EVERYTHING. The beach is 20 minutes away, Hollywood/Sunset Blvd are 10 minutes away (where all the crazy night clubs and parties go down), the mountains are two minutes away (Angeles Crest National Forest), Brand Blvd alone has over 250 restaurants to choose from. We have 4 movie theaters in like a 5 mile radius it's ridiculous. Also, you should check out Northridge. Very beautiful city, not much to do there but at least it's not super far from everything I just mentioned.

As far as roads go, honestly they're quite good. I haven't had much trouble with road conditions other than in the Pomona area (FUKING POT HOLES EVERYWHERE, SCREW POMONA). Be careful in the rain here, as there is absolutely no drainage. I highly recommend the Burbank/Glendale area. Check it out man, see what you think.

You don't want to live near Mark Keppel.
http://www.scpr.org/news/2010/01/06/...mbra-lockdown/

I'd suggest Arcadia, Pasadena, Sierra Madre if you have money for housing/lifestyle.

Stay away from Mid-City L.A. It's ghetto, annoying, and full of pesty cops. Santa Monica, O.C., Sherman Oaks would be my thoughts. Cops don't bother as much.

CA might be a wonderland to you since you come from a socialist country. But in the US it's failing. The state of California is actually going broke. I'm not trying to be nasty (I'm about half French-Canadian by birth). But they have very restrictive laws on what you can do to your car. And more restrictive laws on what you can own (as far as firearms).
