The last time we had this bad smell was the LA riot. Anyone remeber that. I feel so sorry for some of the house that got burn. It sucks watching it on the news.

Fires are burning here in San Diego as well. We're blanketed with smoke right now. Can't see the sun, and if it does show up it's red, not yellow. Having the fires this close, the Z is the least of my worries.

Anyhoot - wish us luck.

Maximadave - I work out there in Murrieta. Is it really that bad over there? I'm wondering whether I should go to work tomorrow. I don't even know if the I-15 will be open at all tomorrow.

Out here in Thousand Oaks the smoke and ash is bad. Fire is about 10 miles away. I hope everyone out there is safe and that they get a hand on these fires so no further homes are lost.

My In-Laws live in Crestline and their Home is most likely going to burn up in flames. They have been evacuated and are left with the bare minimum. Good thing they have Fire Insurance. But hopefully everything calms down.

here in santa monica, the sky was grey and it smelled like fire most of the day. it seems to be going away now, but my car is entirely covered in super-fine ash dust. i guess i'll be washing it tomorrow. that is, unless the fire gets any closer to my parents' house, in which case i'll be volunteering as a fireman tomorrow.

Default Fires

Well am thankful that theres no fires here in my neck of the woods but feel really bad for all those who have lost everything. I have opt not to drive my Z until all this ash and smoke stops so it will sit in the garage for awhile while I just drive my every day black Probe which lately is turning grey on me.

This smoke and ash is out of control. I am not taking my Z out of my garage till the air quality gets better. Check out this pic I took from my backyard yesterday. It looks like I had a custom orange lens on the camera, but this is how the sky actually looked. My prayers go out to those who are affected by these fires.

Sorry to hear the news of forest fires in LA. I live in British Columbia Canada and as some of you may know we had our worst fire season of this century. In the city that I live in we lost close to 250 homes and hundreds of square miles of forest. At the high point we had over 900 fires burning out of control through out the province! We've had a bunch of rain in the past couple of weeks which helped with any remaining hot spots. All I can say is start praying for rain because once the fire is out of control there's nothing we can do about it.

We're not too far from the Rancho Cucamonga fires. Got tired of my car covered in ash so she's grounded in the garage until Dyno day and the Sema show.

Hope everyone is safe from all the fires. Pray for a dry winter too because those hills will turn into mud this winter when the rain starts. Even if the fires are under control, we are not out of the woods yet. Thankfully I'm in the urban area.

Good luck to those in or near the fire area. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
