Default Need Info on a GOOD Body/Repair shop in LA

Long story short. A wheel flew off at about 40mph (DSR). Car bottomed out and dragged for about 50ft. ( I was more in shock and pissed than thinking to slam the brakes which probobly would have done more damage) Anyway.. rear bumper is done. Torn in half like paper. Rear quarter pannel is pretty thrashed... Rotor is done, suspension more than likey done. Rear axle joint done. Might need a new paint job since its a custom spray. ... Basically I need a shop that can handle the mechanical work and also the bodywork. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The bodyshop that i used for the paint job last summer shut down, so back to square one i guess. I'm the market for a new rear bumper lol. Ill post pics tomorrow.

Thanks in advance to those who offer direction in getting this solved

Thomas

edit: and no this was not my doing to cause this to happen. i'll leave it at that.

Gawdamn man that really sucks.

I had a good experience at DTM and would recommend them to anyone but I'm not sure if they are close enough to you.

^^ location doesnt really matter as long as its reasonable. What matters to me is paint matching. I'd like to avoid the time frame of a full respray due to my schedule with school. ofcourse i have to wait until tuesday to hear from my insurance company.plus i have to find out if my RE is even repairable. And the color match probobly wont be good on those either.

holy crap.. how did your wheel fly off?? my cousin has a shop in rosemead called Ranz Motorsports.. theyve done all my work as far as cosmetics.. looks like you need a lot more than just cosmetics done.. the only problem is that theyre always packed so it might take a while but PM me if you want more info... its kinda far from where youre at and im sure u can find a place just as good.. plus if youre going straight through insurance you might as well pick a well known franchise place like seidner or something..

Sixteen Customs in Gardena is REALLY good. I've been going there for several years, as the quality is top-notch. Hiro is the owner and can be reached at 310-715-1810. You can let him know Amit refered you.

He takes his time with color matching. My sister had her G35 Coupe repaired there (just got it back one week ago). The paint match was excellent, which is tough to do, given that she has pearl white (same as PPW).

Good luck!

They repainted my fender after some bish backed into it and also painted my front bumper at the same time and the color match is perfect.

Good luck man!!

thanks for all the info guys. i have a long weekend to think about how im going to go about this. basically, took my car to a buddy who has done all of my work since ive relocated to LA. And for some reason the torquing of the rear lugs was missed. The driver side rear flew off and rolled like 150ft hit a curb, bounced like 15 feet in the air, and almost smashed through a window of a Chili's restaraunt. I saw sparks flying, and i was sliding on my rotor/spring mount for about 50ft. After the car came to a stop i inspected it and couldn't find my driver side lugs anywhere. Then checked the passenger side and they unscrewed with two fingers. So the bodywork isnt really my main concern. Its my suspension, brakes, axel, exhaust, frame im worried about. Im like 3 months from having this car payed off and i was completly happy with what i had done with it. I'm waiting on him to call and atleast offer my money for the work labor he did and for the towing cost of $100 to get the car back to my house. Havent had a call all day. Hmmm...

Damn that sucks what had happened. Good luck with getting everything back in order. I got my car fixed at DTM autobody in El Monte and i'm happy with the work they did.

A little update. The bodyshop I was originally going through was too far away and I decided to go with DTM. DTM is 3 miles from being out of my insurance plus towing package lol
