Ugh, I have to cancel on this event. I appear to have caught some bug, and I can barely even see straight with the dizziness. Just got back from a trip to the east coast, so I probably caught something on the airplane. Driving 4 hours right now probably wouldn't be a good idea. I'm so bummed!

The rain did suck. Here are some pics I posted on Maxima.org

http://forums.maxima.org/forumdisplay.php?f=1

If you can't see them , let me know and I'll post the pics here instead. Alllllllot of nice Z's and G35's especially this custom red G35 coupe that was wicked.

I almost had a chance to dyno my stock Max but it was called off because of rain. I'd like to join you guys if you have a dyno meet again soon.

Damn must've just missed everyone. At the last minute I decided to take a run over to Stillen with a buddy just in from NYC. The rain shut the Dyno down for the day and sent a bunch of people home early. I should've went early.
Heard Twisted got a dyno run in before they shut it down.

Luck had it I was the last to dyno but I got there 1 1/2 hours before opening.to meet the Z guys. To bad it rained I was looking to meet a lot more.

I'm not sure the cold rainy weather is at all good to dyno in. I could see water pouring out the exhaust as they were taching up and had some detonation issues to take care of and them its back to my own dyno guy.....Strong 245 whp at Stillen still looking for 250 whp before I stop on this car.

Don't know what to try next? It's a 5AT auto so I'm not willing to go to the expense of cam, headers, ugly plenums
Just need a few more HP almost time to charge oil I'm going to try REDLINE this time and see if that helps.. any other ideas welcome Look at mod list.

I went, it was pretty cool, I got drenched. I wanted to meet up with some of the people from the board, but I really didn't have a way to recognize anyone. I was there with two of my friends asking questions for my consumer behavior class, talking to vendors and a couple owners. I wanted to take more pictures but I was too busy interviewing, and when I finally had time, it started pouring. My friends and I were drenched so we figured, what the hell, and waited for our hotdog and hamburger, hahaha.

Good stuff - do it. FWIW, I switched back from Mobil 1 to Redline Thursday when I was over at Performance and I'm convinced it fixes my rough idle problem. I've gone from mineral > Redline > Mobil 1 > Redline and the rought idle has so far gone away consistently every time I switch.

One caution though: when I was at Jeff's, I was talking to Rocky, their Z guru mechanic and another guy (sorry can't remember his name) and they said when they were using Redline in their Z race car, they were having clogging problmes in the lifters and the oil turned into a grease-like almost solid material in the pan, presumably becasue it doesn't have any detergents in it. He wasn't sure if that was becasue of the higher temperatures in their engine or not. I agreed it was a good idea to drop the pan and also examine the lifters at my next oil change.

BTW, Mr. Twisted, I have a video of your dyno run at Stillen's and also took a bunch of other Z pix before the downpour started . if you want them, please PM me.

Nice meeting the people that I did!

Was a good time, shame about the rain.

I had alot of fun on the drive down, there were some cars that I figured were on their way down to stillen so we had a nice high speed cruise.

Mr Twisted. Your options are pretty much limited now to get up to 250. My guesses would be Headers (but you dont want to do that because of expense). Hrm.. A couple of nismo stickers? j/k.

I wonder what removeing the resonator pipes on the Stillen exhaust and replacing them with straight pipes. I wonder if that will give you much. I'm pretty sure their resonators are pretty free flowing. But you never know.

Freezee sent it to Patrick (Zxsaint) I'd like to see it. The results were not what I wanted to hit but I,ll be taking care of those issues soon. I'm getting rid of the Injen Cai and going with a K&N unit for personal reasons.

It wouldn't be because of that 2 foot deep river we had to drive through when we left Stillen would it??? Before I get flamed for that comment.... I was only kidding!!! Ingen makes a very good high quality part... (and I do sell them)....
