so on my lunch break i was driving and rolled my driver side window down, parked and tried to roll my window back up. keyword is tried because it got stuck and wouldn't roll back up.

went home and took my door apart to see if i could fix it. well, now i can roll it up and down but i lost my auto up function and it doesn't do the down/up thing it's suppose to do when i open and close the door.

any ideas? i tried to do the window motor reset too and nothing happened.
is it the motor? my window switch? anyone have the same thing happen. BTW i have a 2005 enthutiast if that means anything

 

if you did the reset procedure outlined in the manual it should work! If it goes up and down its not your motor, you prob did the procedure wrong, try it again step by step!

Window motor broke, get one with lifetime warranty from Autozone. Replace them and you're good, I've replaced both sides of my 03 Z. Never have problem eversince. Check the DIY thread. Hope this helps.

 

screw autozone ... when i went to get my motor they said it had to be a special order, so i was ok, they said it would take 2-3 days, so i was like ok, but then about 1 week later (8 days to be exact) they said that there wharehouse didnt have it in stock, and this is with me calling every f***%$n day to figure out whats wrong , then they said they could get me one from a warehouse in "san pedro", but i said F*&%$ them already and just got my money back, so i just went and got OEM and paid more but im satisfied

good thing i did go with OEM bc shortly after... someone posted that they have switched out there motor under "lifetime warranty" 2 or 3 times already, i dont remember exactly but look it up its here. that life time crap is just that crap,


imo do what i did.... just go and get a OEM MOTOR, pay more for it, but you will have no problems.
