Hey guys... Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on this special.. $9.99 for a heat gun... It's not the best.. But it's one heck of a deal.. I'm using it to open up my headlights as I post this lol

works well, mine lasted about a year before it quit..........the next time i bought two, cause at that price its no biggy and i like them......2nd one has been holding up fine..

shoot! i picked up a set of used 05 headlights to work on for dirt cheap.. i won't dare touch yours lol..

So here's a quick update on the headlights I've been working on. I bought a set off a member here for cheap



They had a good amount of hazing.. I've tried clearing them up a bit using plasticx..but there is still some haze..

Before:



Now taken apart and painted:





I placed the cover back on to see how it'll look once sealed.. But i can't get over the haze.. Can anyone sand these for me

did the heat gun work perfectly for your headlights?
might pick one up for when i re-open mine to do sti lens. oven was a *****

The heat gun worked great.. The first headlight took me 20-25minutes to open since I was scared and didn't know how to start it.. But the second headlight took 10minutes on high.. I think it's faster and easier than the oven

if you use a nice buffer like a Porter Cable with a light cutting polish it can get rid of a really good amount of that hazing. We did that on a friends G35 sedan that had horrible hazing on the headlights.
