It seems to me you just didn't follow the rules set down by the school. Just pay the ticket and don't complain. You made a mistake and next time, follow the rules.

cops always make excuses. last year, i got a ticket for parking backward. I'm always getting stupid little parking tickets that i never thought of.. $35 for parking backward and $35 for displaying the permit on the passenger side..think about it

There is always at least 1 KA signal through this area, and generally 2.

edit... So I hear from people that have radar detectors, because I don't have one... Officer.

If you can afford to live in Irvine then i'm sure the $35 ticket is just chump change so suck it up and pay the fine.

irvine does have alot of high middle class families living there, but also a ton of poor college students. So 35$ can be a lot of money depending on what school your attending.

Mostly IVC students. They pull you over because you look "suspicious"

First of all, I visit Irvine here and there and the city is awesome. It's clean and rich. But the cops are ****ing ****faces and the UCI kids are ****ing ******s.

Anyways, I've fought multiple parking tickets and speeding tickets. I would have to say I won 4 parking tickets and 7 traffic tickets. Sometimes it's not even about the money, but for justice. I am so angry when people let the government punk the **** out of them with the intimidation of the law enforcement.

I fight through the mail all the time and went to court once to fight against a cop. There are actually tons of loopholes to fight any type of ticket.

One time I got a street sweeping ticket, and I took the picture of the sign which says "No Parking in This Area on Fridays" I wrote a letter saying where the **** is "This Area"? If you can explain that, then I will pay the fine. If not, don't even try.

Sorry for the rant, but please! don't let the ****ing pigs punk you around like that.

Good luck to you sir.

why do people keep thinking irvine is OC Beverly Hills. It's just an average city IMO. I just hate the fact that I get overcharged for house works because every single freaken contractor out there thinks irvine is the shiiit.

Dude, I just got a ticket for head in parking stall (its the one you just described, back parked into the parking space) at IVC parking lot. The price has increased to $38. I just want to post a note and to remind you all not to do this head-in stall parking. The police that ticketed me is badge #10, and last name ended in Dehl (not sure if the dude or chick wrote the correct last name). I think IVC police is F $%^ I understand that the state needs $ and the school needs $ but really? in this econ crisis we all need $$! I have parked at OCC the exact same way but I have not gotten a ticket! I really want to see if any of those IVC police ever parked head in stall parking.

It’s not the cops that always make excuses but the people who get the tickets. Law states that if you back into a spot and do not have a front license plate it is illegal. You can not have a parked car without a visible license plate. Also each state has it own laws. Some states say you can not back into parking spots and some states allow it. Follow the rules and you won’t have any problems.

There are laws and regulation in this state. Follow the rules. It doesnt matter if you were going 45mph on 40mph zone. Your still over legal speed. If you dont want tickets then follow the laws. If you think you didnt do anything wrong then plead guilty so you can fight it at court. Its simple as that.
