Default CA beach city drivers: which roads suck/try to avoid?

Hey I figure I may get some good info out of this thread and it will surely open up to some entertainng posts too haha.
I live in AZ.. i went to Newport/Laguna/HB my first time last year.. place is sick.. I LOVE IT. Why doe people talk about CA? Becuase it kicks #ss thats why. The rumors are all true.

PEOPLE OF SO-CAL/LA BEACH CITIES AREA:

post roads you avoid with a lowered car.. everyone has a major Fwy or an exit they avoid because it has eaten a piece of thier kit before..
throw down! Tell us!

( well , tell ME, i dont wana mes up my car next summer on road trips haha)

Anyways, I have a pretty low car, easy enuff to daily drive here in AZ, but our roads are pretty good comapred to CA.. and I recall the roads just inside Riverside headed to beach cities as being pretty ruff, but that was in a Lexus GS.. i fear for my 350z.

Sorry but I am not familiar with California roads. Neither are 90 percent of forum members.

yes i agree.

You live in Maryland.

Probably not going to be a ton of assistance.

90 percent? Hmm.. dont want to take the thread off topic, but I assure you there are numerous posters from the said area, and again, the thread will surely strike a chord w those w lowered vehicles and kits in that area.

^LOL welcome to my world

Palos Verdes, Torrance, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo and Mar Vista all have sketchy streets the closer you get to the beach because of all the hills. There are some gnarly dips in most of those cities but you just learn to avoid certain areas.

Brian, call me next time youre down here. I wanna check out the latest version of your z. Most roads are screwed here if not the roads, the curbs are really deeper than most in AZ.
Ill p/m the number.

whatever you do, DO NOT take Westbound Imperial HWY from any freeway exit off of the 405 or 105 or 110.. Imperial Hwy is the biggest pos road ever. especially when the 105 ends and goes toward the water. pot holes large enough to sink the whole wheel into, etc etc.

Palos verdes blvd east and / or west. there is a part of the road that drops like 2 feet, a lowered car will not be able to clear it unless you go super slow and angle it.. it's close to the Trump golf course i think...

most roads around UCLA/westwood/brentwood are horrendous as well.

+1 for Imperial Hwy and Vista Del Mar/Culver.

I bent a wheel in a monster pothole a few years back.

sweet.. havent checked back on the thread in a while.. i appreciate the input for sure.

When we drive the Lexus GS there, we usually just come in and stay in Irvine Sanata Ana right off the fwy ( i5? cant recall) and then drive right up to Newport Blvd etc to get to PCH etc etc.. then a straight shot up pch to Huntington and main.. I doubt ill venture any farther out w my car, and I stay away from LA proper.. just the beach cities for the most part.
Just waiting til my Forgestars get in .. not rollin it to Cali w spacers and 9.5s.
