Default Moving to Long beach

I currently live in San Diego ( Carlsbad), i moving up to long beach in the spring, because i am transferring to CSULB. look forward to attending some of the meets. Let me know were the Good spots are up there.

two friends of mine that live in long beach drive up to our z meet in buena park that happens every other friday.
they speak of a place called my thais in long beach.

Its called Mai Thai. Ive only been there on a Wednesday night but it sure is crackin! Check out Guppy Teahouse in Cerritos, its a popular place to eat late night. I dont know any meets in that area because I'm not from LBC, but those are the places I've kicked it at when I'm around there..

Welcome to the hood. lol jk I grew up in Long Beach. Downtown, theres a few cool spots down Pine street like Hooters. Or you can go down Shoreline Drive to Shoreline Village and the Pike, theres bunch of restaurants/bars there. Closer to CSULB theres Belmont Shore down 2nd street, lot of shops/restuarant/couple small bar-clubs. Seal Beach down Main street isn't too far from CSULB also. But if you're just looking for a good local meet then:

Went there for two years for post grad ed at CSULB. Make sure to have a garage if you live near downtown cause parking suxs!!!

i know when i was checking out places to live, i was really bummed on parking. but i got a studio right across the street from the school. so i should be okay.

BTW theres also a Thursday night Redondo Beach meet happening weekly and a friendly group of Z and G owners get there after 7pm.Its at the Starbucks at 190th Av and Anza.
