If I'm not mistaken this is pretty much the way Redline TA has their tires indexed.
I think its fair for the tires, but having coilovers bumping you into modified? even redline let you run in enthusiats (street) with 2 way coilovers and sways, usually for modified would be for the people with more power.

This will be fun! I've been wanting to drive in a 350 only competition format. Even though it's open to 370's and G35's and G37's, it'll still be lots of fun. This could develop into a great series like the S2K comp going on at XtremeSpeed. The S2 guys had a great showing at the last XS event and seemed like everyone had a great time.

I hope you guys develop the rules more as you go on. I know you want to keep it simple, but don't be afraid to make the class divisions a bit more defined. If you want, I can get you in touch with the lead S2K guy as he may be able to help you define your rules a bit more, or at least figure out the best way to run the competition on track day.
You've got a full month to get this together and I think it's going to be great. I look forward to it.

s2k is s2k... VQ challenge should be different since this is not just 350z. To take in G35 G37 and 370z... we mush have a solid fair rules.

we are just testing the waters and we arent redline so i mean we have to draw the line somewhere

we cant please everyone and we are trying to keep it as simple as we can without getting a bit technical and over board

from our first experience we will then see how to break it down if we need to

I would have to buy R comps to compete, 2 way coilover and on 200 treadwear NT05's. BTW stock 350Z tires are 140 treadwear.

I talked to the event organizer and he wanted you to at least have 2 extreme speed track events in or a few events elsewhere.

i apologize but i hope you understand because of safety etc

i do encourage you to sign up into beginner class and get instruction and hopefully enter the competition sometime in the near future

Not really, i would change the second class to 140 treadwear too. Then the stock class, i would suggest one suspension mod ( dampers, springs or swaybars )

I think this is a good decision, as no track virgin should be in any timed / racing event.

Saw that fail a couple times last year with Redline. Scary for them to let someone go out on the track for the first time during a race practice. Autoclub Roval too.
