Default Consult system access in SD?

My vdc Off and slip light are always on and won't turn off. It was recommended to get a consult system attached and see if all the sensors are reporting data.

I went to mossy Nissan in poway and they charge 100 bucks to just hook up
the consult system. Also, the assistant service manager that I had to deal with was being grouchy and kind of an a-hole. Luckily the other assistant service manager (AJ) was super knowledgeable and a great guy to chat with.

If anyone has access to a consult system that could help, it would be much appreciated.

Also, it looks like the nissan dealership cant re-program my TPMS system since the stems are on the backside of the wheel and it would require a lot more labor (aka money) to get it done. I will probably find a DIY for this (read one 2 days ago but didnt bookmark the post).

I live in downtown San Diego and work in poway, ca.

Thanks in advance.

When mine were reset, the tech drive the car for about 100 yards to activate the sensors, you don't have to get to them, then did the consult thing to program them in. Same thing they would do on a car with them mounted with bands.

That is what I thought as well and I explained that to the Assistant Service Manager. however, he said that they have to use the Nissan setup tools that get coupled to the TPMS sensor valves. Long story short, they were going to charge me a lot more to do it than I thought was reasonable. I read about how to do this at home and may try and buy the tool that was recommended.

Thanks Terrasmak for all your help! Dealing with dealerships is frustrating because you learn about ways to easily to things from this forum and then the dealer doesnt understand this and tries to charge you an arm and leg.

Bring your car over to discount tire in poway (I work there) and I'll see if our programmer can reset your tpms.
