SoCal07HR's Build thread

Got all the SPL arms in, Whiteline front sway and end links, Momentum Performance solid aluminum motor and transmission mounts, and some Motul 75-90 to change my tranny fluid. I'll get to work installing all this stuff this weekend.
Looking good, glad to see your building the z and not getting a c5. The brakes are awesome btw
. I have the spl rear knuckle bushings in my z, it definitely was not fun trying to get all the bushing in the knuckle. Good luck with the build!

I installed the suspension, seat, and I've been working on getting more sheet metal out of the rear hatch area. Seat needs to be lowered badly, I'll break out the welder here soon and get it as low as possible.
Also, I had it on scales and funny enough it weighs exactly 3000 pounds with 3/4 tank of gas. That's with all the stock glass, crash bars, stock body panels, and the doors haven't been touched. A/C system and heater core in tact as well, as is most of the stock dash and headliner. Also I have yet to start pulling any of the tar off of the floor. There's quite a lot of weight still left in it that's coming out.
Picked up some DoLuck front fenders too that I may or may not use. I need a V2 front bumper so I can start building a splitter and some carbon door shells so I can get rid of my stock doors.

I'll get pictures up soon. I'm going to tig together an aluminum support for the splitter and use aircraft fasteners (stolen from work) so it can be removed quickly. Christmas kills the wallet so now updates will come more frequently.
Send me pics, i want to see your setup. Do you still have my email or phone number

mine is getting taken apart for some stuff too lol
