Question Where to buy helmets?

Reading the Button Willow thread, I realized that I will need to buy a helmet in order to participate in that event. (Since I'm in SoCal, I'll post this here.) I am clueless when it comes to helmets.... Any inputs appreciated. I would like to know

1. where to buy them,
2. which brand (if any),
3. what is the reasonable price range, etc.

Also, if you already have one, I'd appreciate it if you can post pix of yours so I have an idea how they would look like or how they may look different from what I have in mind.

Thanks in advance!

Goto your local motorcycle shop.. I think Bell is good reasonable priced helmet.. but you can usually find others for around $70 and up..

Don't buy helmets at the local shop, they'll rip you off.

you need to TRY ON helmets when you buy them, since you'll be wearing them 20-30 mins at a time. gotta make sure it doesnt give you migraines.

try www.subesports.com in HB.

i got my bell m2 there.

yes, too tight and you'll definitely feel it after a few minutes

too big and it might come off.

go try on the helmets. try to wear it for a few minutes at least before you buy

Keep in mind though, a helmet should be so tight it almost hurts. People tend to buy helmets that are too loose and while that may be great for comfort, it also could be the death of you.
