Default Getting shocked recently

For about a week and a half or so ive suddenly become a victim of getting zapped by my car when i get out of the car. I looked on the G forums and they have suddenly experienced the same issue. anybody else in socal having the same problem?

dude i have the same problem. some times it is really bad. i am not sure what causes it.

I used to experience the same thing and did this to fix it:

Before you rotate out of your seat (the motion that causes the static) put your hand on the door jam or any other metel part.

Problem solved.

It'll work.

When you get out normally the charge builds and then releases when you make contact with metal. By keeping in contact with a petal piece the charge flows through you and isn't allowed to build.

Or you can get leather seats.

Ill give it a shot, but i just dont understand why it would all of a sudden do this.

I have leather seats and still have the problem... For as often as it happens, I'm still not used to it...

use to have this in my civic, with cloth seats haven't had it lately. it has been dry lately too.

Did you get new shoes or use a different laundry dryer/fabric softener? Moved to a new house with different carpet? It could be a lot of things!

its happens to me all the time. actually it just started happening. kind of funny that were all having the same funny problem.

I tired the whole door jamb thing and it didnt work. I think when people see me jump and yell **** when im closing my door that i might be insane.

do you have cloth seats or leather?

maybe because mine is leather
