But it is a very nice area. lol
long beach has some sketchy areas but also some nice areas. I live about 10/15minutes from there (Gardena)

born and raised in Long Beach, currently in close by westminster - have seen long beach go thru their ups and downs over the years, I still think its a nice place. Like every where else, you just need to stay away from the few bad spots. Downtown LB has been improved upon over the years and has some decent restaurants by the arena and waterfront.
