Hey guys. Be careful of this potential meet. Along time ago, I also attended a meet in SD where the organizer had only a few posts to his record.

The meet ended-up getting raided by SD Police where their goal was to look for stolen equipment on cars as well as illegal mods. They made sure it was in a large parking lot and a public area and made sure all the exits were blocked.

I was ticketed for illegal mods by idiot cops of SD police who don't have anyting better to do.

Not saying that the OP is a cop as he does have info filled-out on his public profile but that might not mean anything either way.

Just wanted to chime-in and let the forum be warned.

OP, if this is a genuine meet and you aren't a cop, I apologize and wish you well but if you are a cop and baiting people, you need to **** off and find some real criminals to chase down.

Wow. What a sad excuse for a police department "raid" Blu_Blur...

I hate this. "Illegal mods" don't hurt anyone in any way. Police are meant to "SERVE AND PROTECT". You're certainly not serving me while you're writing me a ticket for test pipes. And on what planet are you protecting me?

You're protecting me and others when you stop me from speeding, running red lights/stop signs, and breaking other various traffic laws. Stick to that and stay out of my business.

Yeah. San Diego is a very nice, middle-upper to upper class city so there isn't a lot of crime. They did used to have a street racing problem so the cops started fighting back with more organization.

Let's just say that they actually broke in to my car while I was eating at a restaurant 100 yards away during the meet.

I will never forget that night. It may have cost me some money but I got my car back the way I wanted it. I normally respect cops and tried to join when I was 19 (went as high as the polygraph) but the guys that raided anice and calm, organized meet are the essence of why people call them 'pigs'. That's why I love departments like the Sherrifs here in LA. They couldnt give two ***** about test pipes or an intake. They're more concerned with drugs, violence and weapons.

I apologize if you aren't a cop. If you aren't and you want to go for a meet, try another city where the police aren't as bored to do organized raids to see which people have cold intakes or not

Additionally, I know there are other SD area members who have posted-up meets and continue to do so. It is just odd that a person with 3 posts on this forum is putting up notice of a meet.

I agree 100%, I don't know what happened to having some rights. No warrant? Just straight breaking into a car?? I used to meet in Vista years back when I had an M3. I'm just looking for 350z only enthusiasts. Seeing whats out there.

I learned that a car does not enjoy the same rights as a house and since a car is in a public area, it is liable to search with no warrant.

What SD Police did was legal but it was ethically wrong. Very wrong.

No worries dude. Just keep posting and make new friends. Attend meets organized by more seniuor members who have done it before and all will be good.

All Im saying is that your post is eerily identical to the poster who set-up the meet where I got busted.
