Thats some bogus **** right there. I'd be livid if this happened to me and I found the perp somehow. How on earth did you find them? Thats some good detective work right there.
Now hopefully you can get those wheels back!
Goodluck and give us an update on what happens...

Sorry about your wheels. I would also sign up to other car forums and check the for sale sections. It will also be helpful in identifying any unique marks, nicks, scratches or defects of the wheels, if there were any, in the event you come across them being sold somewhere. Just keep an eye out for them...
What brand tire did you have? Sizes?

The guy posted his number on the page. I spoke to the detective and she said I cant prove theyre mine since I dont have any positive way of identifying them....WTF?!
I would go over there myself but I kind of want to avoid the confrontation considering they know where I live.....
What do you guys think I should do?

I hate when this kinda **** happens. This year alone i lost almost 6k in stupid situations like this or deals gone wrong.
Here's what i would do.. But just cuase i would doesnt mean you should... But if it floats your boat i guess give it a try
[while doing this make sure not to give him and idea you think theyre stolen or give him any ideas you drive a 350z also make sure you tell him your coming from a diffrent county like if theyre listen in OC tell em you from LA/ SD or IE]
If i were in your shoes i would call the dude up and buy the wheels from him threw paypal and once you have your wheels back cancel the payment n tell paypal when you bought the wheels you didn't know they were your stolen wheels till you notice when you got home and seen the ser#/vin# , same tier , curb rash ,discoloration and all the other stuff you said (also tell paypal about police report)...Pretty sure paypal will work with you once they find out he was using paypal to sell stolen items. But again only cancel payment if your 100000001% sure theyre your wheel
IM not tell you or saying its a good idea but that's what i would do to the f0ker who left my car on bricks. Hes lucky that i don't recommend also throwing a brick at his face
.
Mods srry for this post but i feel for the guy , n some of you know ive had my share of problems wit lames
I understand if this post gets removed but im just trying to help. Some of you know me and know ima good guy n wouldnt try to ccheat anyone

lol. i doubt guy will take paypal. especially if they really are stolen he wants cash. the only way to take them back is to somehow steal them and if police come knocking on your door is show them receipt if you have. he wont have a receipt of course.
so you are saying they are 100% sure they are your wheels? or you still have to confirm?

So insurance isn't going to give you any money for your stolen wheels?
Personally I wouldn't ever pay twice for the same set of wheels ha.
Had a buddies Lexani's jacked from his garage unmounted, found them in a city 8 hours away, drove there and put a deposit down on the wheels then notified to police that they were his. The cops then showed up that night and found confirmed with him that they were his, no idea what happened to the guy and his girl after the fact.

Insurance should pay for OEM replacements, now if I'm not mistaken OEM replacements are pretty pricey with tires and should sort of cover your costs.
I would still continue with the case and give the detective the new owners number and have them investigate so they can get the sellers number and find the real crook.
