Speeding Tix in LA County - Lawyer Suggestion
Well guys, it's happened.... I was having a really bad stomach ache all morning, and it continued till I was driving. I thought i was going to make it to work before going to the bathroom but a really bad one hit me while i was on the freeway. For any of you that drive manual, it is nearly impossible to hold it in when your left foot is stepping on the clutch all the time. Anyways... So i was going over the speed limit on the freeway here in LA county and a motorcycle cop stopped me and gave me a ticket.
Anyways, are there any lawyers in LA County that you guys have used before for a speeding ticket that can help me fight this ticket? I don't know.. Ugh bad luck! Jesus Christ... I'm so speechless and pissed off right now. What friggin luck! *** stomach aches.
Just an update guys:
I got the notice via mail to appear in court or to pay the fine. However, they spelled my last name wrong. I was wondering if it was possible to use this excuse in court to get me off (aka that person is not me)?
I personally think it's not since they have my driver's license, and my name was spelled correct on the ticket the cop gave me, and more importantly, I signed the ticket.
But I just wanted to get some opinions anyhow. Thanks guys!

Why are you going to fight it? You just admitted you were speeding. And if you are going to fight it anyway why do you need a lawyer? Google "trial by declaration" and "trial de novo" and do those two things. Hopefully one or the other will get you off the hook.

Pm procustomize (his name is James)
I met him during the summer when i bought coilovers off him. He says that he does traffic lawyer stuff and he is from the rowland heights area. he might be able to help you out.
I have his number also so if you don't get a hold of him, pm me for his number.

i would say save the money of hiring a lawyer for a ticket going 80 in a 65. Just go to court and hope the cop doesnt show up... OR if you cant get out of work or something to go to court just do a trial by declaration. I have gotten out of a speeding ticket by doing trial by declaration... you basically just write a letter and submit it. A judge reviews your letter and a letter the cop writes and makes a ruling. You can google Trial by Declaration to get advice on what other people have used. I feel the money a lawyer MIGHT save you... will just end up going to them...
Good luck.
Good luck.
