Question Mod Friendly Smog in San Diego

Does anybody have any recommendations for mod-friendly Smog places in SD? (you can PM me rather than posting up if need be) I have Nismo R-Tune intakes and high-flow cats, so I'm concerned regarding the visual inspection in particular.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you will pass the sniffer with hi flow cats regardless if you find someone to look past the intakes. Good luck though.

^^ yea has to pass the sniffer and you definitely wont with high flow cats on. Lots of people have tried and they just dont work well enough.

But this knowledge was from years ago so maybe technology has gotten better??

I know a couple guys that passed the sniffer with high flow cats, just heated up the cats really well before going in for the test. My main concern is the visual at this point.

Dunno about now, but mods usually don't like public posts about this stuff. Probably better to pm anyways so if any LEO is looking...no one's *** is on the line.

So I ended up swapping out the intakes for stock airboxes with drop-ins just to play it safe on the visual. I kept the high-flow cats on, and passed smog with flying colors.

So to everybody that speculated that it's not possible to pass on high-flow cats, this is proof that it's possible.

Which high-flow cats do you have? I've wondered if any of them would pass a sniff test.
