Default lowering spring install san diego

hey guys just picked up some tanabe gf210 springs with spc rear camber kits. now im a new owner of a z and still finding reputable shops that i trust with her. i have done quite a bit of work so far but i dont trust myself to do a spring install. any recommendations of shops? i called so cal suspension and they quoted me 520 for install and alignment. that seems really high to me. any advice or local members that have experience doing this. thanks guys.

Bobby

Spring install is one of the simplest things to do, and you really only need a few hans tools. With the car on a lift, it might be a 1-hour job, especially for a pro using air tools. Figure ~$100 for a good alignment, so that's a major over-charging for the spring install.

Try another shop, try it yourself, or perhaps find a fellow member close by and buy the pizza and beer. There a plenty of youtube vids to look at, as well as a few good threads right here. Learn to use the search function, and almost every answer will be right at your fingertips.

i am very hands on with my car dont get me wrong but suspension is one thing that makes me nervous to mess with myself. i had a bad experience many years ago so to me this is one thing i dont mind paying for. and i did use the search function but i couldnt find anything related to shops in san diego. i was hoping for some locals to maybe give first hand accounts or recommendations. hell i dont mind buying beer and pizza if someone who has done it before is willing to help again.

I appreciate the advice and answers you have given me though. happy easter

The rears are very easy! Just unbolt the bucket and replace with the new springs, theres nothing to it. The fronts are a little more work though. Id say do the rear your self and find someone to do the fronts. At least you can same some money that way

i could help you if you have the tools for it, just like everyone said on here its pretty easy, the rears are really easy once you have the wheels off, for the fronts all you need to do is rent a spring compressor from autozone, or o'reilly etc. cause the fronts are compressed, its simple i've done it on my z and some of my other friends as well. pm me im free on weekends. and mondays and tuesdays.
