CHP assigns teams to ticket speeders
Just incase you missed the local News San Diego and other California countys announced that CHP teams have been assigned to ticketing speeders.
Local News Station reported in the San Diego areas on 78 and I 5 area around Oceanside CHP has stepped up partols of 8 -9 vehicles specifically for ticketing speeders. They expected to double the tickets as they have grown from approx. 35k two years ago to approx. 70K last year.
Be careful out there

Another update
This weekend I was coming back on HW 78 around the SD Wild Animal Park area and a CHIP had his motorcycle parked on the side of the road around a curve with his radar gun and ticket book out. My detector was screaming on K-band alerts way before I saw him so no harm no foul.

They stated on the news that CHP would issue a speeding ticket for people going even ONE MILE over the limit. Additonally, a neighbor of mine was pulled over for his tint last week.......and his tint was not nearly as dark as most. They are trying to make up some of the money that is being cut out of the budget.

but if you do get a ticket for 1 mph over the limit you could probably get that thrown out easily, but just the fact that any cop would pull you over for something that stupid is just wrong.
Amy...........that plate of yours cracks me up!! Someone at the DMV was sleeping on that one. I remember when we first moved out here from Pittsburgh and my wife (the one you met at the shooting range who grew up in your neighborhood and knows your cousins) wanted her name on the plate here like she had in PA. Since most of the variations of the spelling of Heidi were taken, she requested HIGH DEE. They questioned whether that was a drug reference of some sort. PUZ Z is one unique plate all right.
I have one of those brackets that screws into the spot that the tow hook goes into, but now that I have an aftermarket grille, I can't use it without making a hole in the grille. I will come up with something though.
El Diablo...........Yep, I feel the same way as you......why ask for trouble by running no plate up front?
Second that, Amy if I had a plate that good I would run it in front as well. You got away with one, they would probably prefer you take it off. Never ever give that one up!
So what's the fine for no front plate? Is it a fix & get inspected or just pay the fine and hope you dont get busted again?
Did you notice two out of three cars in the background have no front plate. Im leaving mine off!

If they notice the front plate is not there.......they may find I am more than one mile over the limit........then they will also see my tint........and on and on. Anyhow, I want to find some sort of "quick disconnect" mounting. If I didn't have the aftermarket grill, it would be easier. I would just use some big toggle bolts, turn them sideways, slip 'em through the stock grill slats, turn them vertical and tighten them down some.
How about VelCro - ?
