Default Z Cookout-details Here! 4/4/04

Hi everyone!
Here is the official thread for this event. It is THIS weekend! Details are.....

Sunday April 4, 2004
10am till 3pm or so..but you are welcome to stay as long as you like.
At Wilson Park in Torrance, Cali
2200 Crenshaw Blvd. Parking lot F, off of Washington Blvd.

Link to the park
http://www.tprd.torrnet.com/facility/wilson.htm
You can view the map. We will be in Parking Lot F, next to the basketball courts and restrooms.

Link to mapquest
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...&submit=Get+Map

Payment is $10 per person. This is not a Performance Nissan sponsored event. Kash and I are organizing this on our own. We are asking for the $10 per person to help us pay for the food.
We are roping off an area for all of us to park together, so please arrive as early as you can. We will have nametags for everyone, and the nametags will allow you to eat! If you don't have your nametag, you can pay $15 (since it is the day of the event) and will be able to eat
You still have time to RSVP. Either by paypal thru www.350zpartz.com or mail at

Lysa Sais
PO Box 1361
Lomita, CA 90717-1361

Please RSVP by Wed, March 31 or the very latest, Thursday April 1st. We need to make sure we have enough food for everyone.

Sodas and drinks will be provided (we have various sodas and capri sun and we will have water there as well.) We will have bbq meats, hamburgers, hotdogs, and some chinese food). We will also have chips and salsa, fruit salad and cake. It will be a nice buffet.

There is plenty to do there. Please feel free to bring basketballs, soccer *****, roller blades, skateboards...anything you feel would be fun, if you get tired of hanging with the group. There is also a lake/pond that is really nice if you want to take a nice scenic walk. If anyone has a radio, plese bring it. Music is always good at a bbq. Also, if anyone has a volleyball net and volleyball, please let me know. I would love to get a game going.

Also, keep in mind, this is TORRANCE. Please keep to the following code of conduct.
1. Please no obnoxiously loud music (dont roll up "bumpin").
2. Please no burn outs, peel outs, donuts, or anything of the sort. (We want to be able to do this again if everything turns out great.)
3. Alcohol is prohibited. (However, I know there are several people wanting to bring it. If you are discreet about it, cool. I dont want to know you have it. Also, I don't want any drunken freaks there...So KNOW YOUR LIMIT and don't turn into an obnoxious drunk.)

So far, here is the list of people who have signed up to come and have PAID.

1. El Diablo +1
2. BoosTed
3. Luv Mntrl +1
4. Jeffa +1
5. illestjr +1
6. Richard350z +1
7. TOM JONES
8. boogie
9. FredericM
10. g35to350z-12 +1
11. nimnix
12. alphastorm

Here is the list of people who have signed up to come and have not paid yet.

1. dczoner
2. BullishZ
3. Splurt
4. Sizong
5. Grommit
6. skar718
7. joonsuh012
8. bobowah
9. Z33rie
10. h20skier77
11. Phatmitzu
12. wld350z
13. n10zt

Most people want to bring beer. But also on the list was chips (El Diablo), pasta salad (dczoner), korean bbq (Sizong), soda (skar718), drinks (jeffa and joonsuh012), chips and dip (illestjr),
milk and cookies (Phatmitzu ), and hawaiian style macaroni/potato salad (g35to350z-12).
If you are still planning on bringing these items, cool. But keep in mind, this is not a requirement. Don't feel as though you HAVE to bring something. This is a COOKOUT, not a pot luck.

I believe that is all the info you will need. I am also posting pics of the park so you can get an idea of how it looks. We were there this past Sunday and people were out there grilling Oh yea, don't forget to bring your sun tan lotion JUST IN CASE. I didn't wear any to the Performance Nissan Meet and got BURNT. Don't let this happen to you!!

Anyhow, I am very excited about this event and I hope more people come and enjoy it. I think it will be a lot of fun. I hope I get a chance to meet more of you and actually get to TALK to you guys! (At my last meet, Nationals Sports Bar, I only got to talk to a handful of you...At the Performance Meet, I greeted all of you at the gate, but we didnt have time to chat. )

Till then, ZZZZZZZZ ya later!!!

Lysa

PS. If I missed some vital info, or you have any questions, please post or PM me.... Looking forward to MEETING you all this Sunday!

I have some pics of the park but Im such a computer ILLETERATE person, I don't have the program to make them smaller so they are too big to attach. If anyone can help me (allow me to send the files to them and they can shrink them for me), please PM me, dont post, so we can have some pics of the park. Thanks in advance.

Lysa... I know Sizong's Korean BBQ is in high demand... instead of him forking out $50 (or whatever it costs) out of his pocket AND paying $10 for this event, I say you help Sizong with some of that cost. I know I want that Korean BBQ!!!

Hey Bullish,

I would LOVE to help out Sizong...BUT, I read on another thread that his Z would be at IAS this weekend, so I'm not sure if he is still planning on attending (???). I completely understand him not paying the $10 if he is bringing the Korean BBQ.....But this event is quite expensive. Just for the drinks and utensils and little stuff, it was about $80. We still have to buy all the meat (which is not cheap). THAT is why we are requesting the $10 per person. If there is any money left over from what we collect from everyone (which I HIGHLY doubt since the rest will probably come out of our own pockets), we would be glad to help Sizong out for the Korean BBQ.......But keep in mind, there are 30+ people coming so we have to feed all of them......It's not cheap but we are looking forward to it.
Thanks!!

Lysa

h20skier,
Thanks! I love to plan and organize things...If this goes well, I might plan more...If it doesnt, then Ill just stick to ATTENDING these types of events.

And no, we won't be bbq'ing any dog meat......Sorry.

Also, I have more pics of the park...Some of the lake, the basketball courts, the childrens playground, but I dont think I have the program to make them smaller.....Oh well... You can see it all once you get there

And I must say, thanks for everyone's input and interest in this event. I hope it turns out FANTASTIC!

By the way... I've been holding off on paying until I know if my lady will be joining me... She hasn't confirmed back with me yet, because she might have work. I'll check again with her today, and make the payment later today either for solo or for 2.

I might be able to make it. If I can, I'll pay at the door.
