you cant drive through deep puddles with that thing. when it floods where i work its so deep that i cant get to work. sometimes i have to back-up through the water cause i dont want to risk getting water sucked into it (i back-up really fast). sorry to hear about your car! whatcha gonna do?

did you completely submerge it?

Did the engine completly lock and die? or did it sputter.

It is possible to have completely saturated the MAF...making the car run terrible. Take the MAF out of the car and let it thoroughly dry out, then try the car again.

good luck man ... sorry to hear about this

Well it felt like the water was still below the bumper. And when other cars drove past me afterwards, I could feel the water hitting below the car. The engine completely locked up. It wouldn't even make one revolution when I tried to start her after I got out of the water. I talked to the service guys over at Riverside Infiniti, and they said that they'll check it on Monday and call me. They're pretty sure the engine is gone though. They did say they would switch over the stock intake that they have instock before the insurance adjuster comes over for inspection. They gave me the price because they just did some ladies sedan from the last storm that blew through and they happened to still have a copy of the repair order. On a positive, I will have a new '05 motor and probably a new tranny too. The tranny has been grinding into 5th gear. Any way, I'll keep you all informed as it progesses. Maybe I should try to get one of those Stroker motors put in. hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Later,

Ray

Dude I'm so sorry to hear this...That sucks the big one bro. Its ironic you mention this as I was just thinking to myself that I am glad I don't have my car back yet. I would have had to navigate a bunch of lakes that formed up on our ever so maintained freeways with ~380 RWHP and no diff to speak of...That could have gotten retarded. Good luck bro. Let me know if there is anything I can do... (No I dont have 11,000 sorry)

I have posted my rollerblades for sale after the embarrassment, seriously.

I am now buying a bike.

jim (hangs head is shame)

side note:

Chad's car rides AMAZING

HKS RS + all Camber fixin' goodies on order - damn you protocav

I think I've set a personal record for longest time of not posting a message.

i will definitely be out there tonight, and i absolutely love wings and things (plus it's 2 miles from my pad). the parking is kind of crappy though, but i guess we will have to check it out. we are still meeting at the mart though, right?

jim, i am stoked for your coilovers!! i almost wish i would have waited and gotten those instead of mine. the road test i took you on was kind of lame. i threw the car around a bit, but all of the good turns were covered with traffic. i will have to make it up to you with a lap of my favorite loop.

hopefully you didn't take our rollerbashing too seriously (allthough we were serious). if it is fun, then keep them. but skate with one of those mexican wrestler masks on (la lucha libre, biatch!!)

Chad

Cool on the wings and things I am excited about tonight for that alone.

10-4 on the Kmart meetup

Chad,

I would like to take that ride ... let me know when ... I bring my rollerblades.

I got a GREAT deal on the coilovers (lets say its less than these cars run in the quarter mile x100).

Jury is still out on the camber fixin goodies ... someone needs to review those Cusco ones and get the gory details otherwise I am splurging for 350EVO. Rears are gonna be spc like rob

the rollerbashing comments were taken in stride (as I do with most comments here ) I am just slowly learning the intricacies of socals mentality lol .... I am cool about it ... I aint sellin them, but I really do need to get a bike....any body got hookups on trek or giant bikes? ... I can get you plasmas
