BTW I'll explain the whole deal tomorrow.

wouldn't it make more sence to use the american bulldog for the USMC, instead of the english bulldog?

the english bulldog (besides being english) is a sloth, and the american bulldog is a badassmother****er.

Well the tradition goes back to like 1922~ when the first one was adopted by Gen Smedly Butler (you wont care) but he is one of the most highly regarded and reverred Marines ever. The guy won two Medals of Honor in two different Wars. (Most people die winning their first so yeah he did some CRAZY ****) and it kind of just kept going from there. The Marines are REAL big on tradition. We have used some of the same words, traditions, and policies towards things for hundreds of years. The USMC NCO sword was adopted in the 1800s the Officers sword even earlier. They are both still ISSUED weapons in the Marine Corps Arsenal. We have a USMC birthday party EVERY 10 Nov. Since 1775. We read the same things, conduct the party in the same way and drink the same alcohol as every Marine has since 1775. That just the way things are done. So trust me they wont be switching bulldogs anytime soon. Thats the Marine Corps.

That doesn't make it better no...but the Marines kind of mold you into being set in a certain way. Theres still ish to this day that bothers me that are left over from the Marines. Its petty **** that doesn't even matter but it bugs the **** out of me. I still go to the Jarhead bar in O'side on Nov 10 (have for the last two years) and celebrate with a bunch of old timers..I still refuse to give my uniform to my parents. I even took in to get dry cleaned and pressed even though I dont come CLOSE to fitting in it. I went and got the medals and ribbons I have received since I got out and pinned them on. Little ish like that that people think are weird are just kind of engrained in you. I mean I clean my handguns more then my room out of habit....
