Default 5/8/04: Nissan Fest at Thousand Oaks Nissan and Rally Run

I know this date conflicts with the Palomar run but for those that haven't heard, Fresh Alloy will be hosting their First Annual NissanFest West at Thousand Oaks Nissan on Saturday, May 8. Fresh Alloy will be having a car show and a fun rally from Thousand Oaks to Malibu and back (not sure if it's for members only though) and Nissan NA is supposedly showing rare Nissans, along with Stillen being there.

I haven't heard of any times yet, but more detailed info (including a map) regarding the run is listed over at Fresh Alloy.

You can follow the FA thread for more info:

Interesting, I just bought my Z there a couple weeks ago and they didn't say anything about this. I wonder if people at the dealership know or if they are even publicizing it? It does sound interesting though, and since it's not to far, I might just swing by.

Quoted from the forum at FreshAlloy.com:

"Stillne, one of the sponsors at the event will be raffling off a set of ground effects. There will also be a NON-COMPETITIVE fun rally from Thousand Oaks down to Malibu and back.

This will be an opportunity for Southern California members of the board to meet and show off their cars! Best of show winners will be picked in several categories and prizes will be given to those winners. We are looking for best of show in the following categories: modern, cleanest, and classic. Bring your car, strut your stuff and you may even bring home a prize!

We need to show our host, Thousand Oaks Nissan, how many local enthusiast are on this board! Admission is open to all, food, drinks and entertainment are free and courtesy of T.O. Nissan."

Why don't we figure out who's gonna go and try to meet up there. I know there is plenty of parking on the street, and I don't know what the expected turnout is, but I'm sure we could all get together there.

Anyone interested?

I would like to attend no matter where it is, but since it is in my backyard even better. If anyone comes up with times, please post. I can't get there until the early afternoon.

I have been up and down Kanan lots of times as well as Topanga Canyon (more fun I think) but both are a blast to drive!

I will try and be there. My Z is just a "boring" stocker but hey I plan to drool at the Stillen's.

From the fresh alloy site:

Registration starts at 9:30am, with Stillen and Nissan NA
presenting from 11:00am-1:00pm. Drive will commence from 2:00 pm-4:00pm (it's a long route and we need to stop at various check-points).

I'll post the finalized agenda this afternoon.

I am going to try and make it as well (should have some new stuff on my Z to try out ) but have to warn everyone about the parking at the TO Auto Mall, it is HORRIBLE. On any given day there so many cars on the street that there is no parking, and there are very few spaces in the dealers lot. I hope that maybe TO Nissan is moving their cars to a different place for the day (TO Chevy does that for a yearly Corvette show). But if need be, there are a few shopping centers on TO Blvd (Do-It-Center) about a block away.

I won't be attending if I have to park a block away in a shoping center

Guess I'll decide when I get there
