350Z Challenge Series - Buttonwillow Oct. 1-3
The second offical 350Z Challenge Series event will be held at Buttonwillow Raceway on October 1, 2 & 3, 2004. Buttonwillow is on Interstate 5 about as far north as Bakersfield.
We are running with SpeedVentures again. They run great racetrack events and have excellent instructors. Drivers from beginners to experts are welcome. I will post cost and other details later.
Hope you will come out. It will be a great time!!!

So far, interest has been zero on this board. In addition to Oct. 1 - 3 at Buttonwillow, there is another 350Z Challenge Series event at Spring Mountain Raceway in Pahrump, Nevada (40 miles northwest of Las Vegas) on Oct 9 & 10. It is a really fun track, similar to Buttonwillow. It's a great weekend, because you can spend your days on the racetrack and your evenings in the Casino.
Oct 1-3 at Buttonwillow -- looks like SpeedVentures.com sign-ups aren't open yet. Should be in a week or 2.
Amy - how did I do where? This thread is about future events. Don't got no time machine. lol

I gonna assume that the proper translation of your post above is that Buttonwillow Raceway in early Oct. 2004 is the first time you have driven your 350Z (or maybe any car) on a racetrack. If I'm wrong, the other possibilities are pretty weird.
Buttonwillow is a great track. There are lots of twisties, a couple of hills, and 5 or 6 straights, the longest one is about 1/2 mile. The whole circuit is about 3 miles. The facilites are nice (skidpad, tire shop, racing fuel station, snack bar, gift shop, etc.). SpeedVentures has excellent driving instructors. It is a "technical" track. You will need to learn the racing line, braking points, where to apex, etc.
Most of all, it will be a BLAST. Hope to get as many 350Z as possible. G35 Coupe and 300ZX TT (and everyone else) are welcome too.

Egbert.. HateBob.. Actually speaks as he writes..
He is Class Clown... and his Mom is really a good egg.
And quite an avid Nissan devote from early on...
Some what of a prankster.. on the Forum.. but he has great people skills, and will excell..
In effect he is not the "Jerk" he makes his "web" persona to be.
We just allow him to close threads - that are finished.. Ha!
Cheers Amy

HateBob needs to link up with a more serious type - such as THX
THX is a good student, and amazed his instructor..
P.S. This week I will ask the Insurance - what the salvage is on my 03 CS Touring.. Cab behind Firewall is intact... Pass Fender
Is Intact.. All Electronics.. Engine and 5AT salvageble..
What price should I offer to buy my wreck?

Amy -
Now that's funny. You telling ME that another board member is not really a jerk!!!. That's what my few defenders have been saying about Richard 350z.

The Elise had to go in favor of another house I bought as an investment. No I didn't total the Z on the track. Never even had an "incident" with the Z on track. Common, someone let me drive their Z. I'll show you what it can do. Go back and look at my class wins at Speedventures website. My wins weren't against nobody's either. The S2K guys brought out the big guns once or twice too!! No sweat (well maybe just a bit!). You should have seen how long they cried about my .03 second victory at one event!! LOL
