What to do in central cali?...
Taking a lil road trip w/ my ZR this coming long weekend to central cali.
So far I am just planning to stop at Santa Barbara, Hearst Castle, Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, Big Sur, and Montery. I haven't really pinned down what to really visit in all those places.
You guys have any recommendations on where to go? where to stay? and most importantly WHAT ROAD TO TAKE?
Thanks.
ELY

You're talkin about the central coast... BIG difference
What to do around here... hmm, cruise down highway 1. In pismo-- go down pomeroy street to the pier. Then go to splash cafe for the worlds best clam chowder.
In morro bay-- head down to the embarcadero and stop by one of the restaurants (hofbrau if you want a great french dip sandwich). That's about all there is to do in Mo town.
Santa Barbara-- Cruise state street-- everything is on state street.
Monterey there's a bunch of stuff to do.
Hearst Castle-- stop by and take a tour-- it's interesting and you learn, yet it's still fun.
From monterey down to Morro Bay, take highway 1-- it's beautiful... slow and twisty (if you don't illegally pass cars), but awesome. From morro bay you'll head into San Luis Obispo. Fro there, get on the 101 south and it'll drive you straight towards pismo and santa barbara. On the way from monterey, you'll pass Big Sur first, then Hearst Castle, then Cambria, Cayucos, Morro Bay, SLO, Avila, then Pismo, then a bunch of other crap then santa barbara about an hour and 15 mins away from pismo.
