Unhappy My baby got rear-ended...

Was out for a drive on Saturday, was on my way home and stopped in traffic a ways down the street from a red light. Waiting there for traffic to go, I hear a screech and look in my rear-view mirror...I see a White Jeep Cheroke hit the Mitsubishi Mirage behind me...next thing I know, POW, I got hit.

*sigh*...I sat there thinking, "Is this really happening???"

Turned the engine off, tried to assess if I was hurt - thank God I wasn't.

The girl in the Mirage wasn't in good shape, stayed there and got checked out by paramedics, taken away to hospital.

It really looks ugly, but actually drivable. Tow guy drove it into their yard, which was no more than 30 yards away from the accident scene.

some pics...

seeing those pics makes me cringe... hopefully all will be sorted out. Glad to hear you are okay and I hope the girl in the Mirage is too, from your description she wasn't well.

Take Care

Some people should NOT begiven drivers licenses...or should have them revoked PERMANENTLY! Never seen such horrid driving skills in my entire life. Houston is next in line...

Glad you're o.k......now you need a lawyer!

Jeff,

I hope she's ok too. The guy at the tow yard said the cop told him she worked for an insurance agency. Kinda implied she "knew the ropes" - aka faking injuries. As for me, I couldn't think fast enough to lie that way, so I can't assume anything other than she might have been injured in some way. Car's at the body shop Mr.Twisted uses and now waiting to hear if Jeep driver's insurance will admit liability - which they should.

Jen,

Thanks for your concerns. Can you believe that driving in my other car up to Arrowhead for the Oktoberfest behind a line of 11 Z's and 1 G almost hurt more! Haha, if I ever get brave enough for a canyon run I'm sure I'll be the caboose even if I was driving my Z.

Since I should not be paying for any repairs, I don't care how much it will cost. I'd love to actually get a whole new paint job out of this if I can. Do you have any idea how thin the paint is on our cars?

Can you belive, that I actually work with a ton of attorneys! But I work in a criminal court. I showed these pics to a defense attorney and he of course offered his services. Thing is, his client was found guilty and went away for a long time, not sure if I want to try my chances with him in civil court. lol

I will keep you in mind for a referral should I need it.

Hey ZtoZ, if you are interested in paint, check out this website www.TMSDesignWerks.com. It might give you some unique ideas for a new paint job. They supply all sorts of custom paints (aka candy and chameleon). The price is affordable but you shouldnt worry about that since you aren't paying for it. Contact them thru the website and maybe the body shop can buy from them or PM me if you would like more info.

Well, just monitor yourself for a few days. After I got hit last February, I had a slight headache and neck pain. Next day, Paul rushed me to emergency clinic, I could not move. My neck and back were in agony. Was in physio for 5 months. Still have reprecussions for time to time. Back aches, slight neck pain, but I was told that could go on indefinately. Make sure any pain you feel you don't ignore. If you do, it will only get worse. Take care, keep us posted; and do pm hfm if you think you need to. Good luck,
Jen
