It takes about 15 mins to hook up a car strap it down .3 dyno runs and then put the next car on, so 20 guys will take a while.

So anyone wanting to do multi runs should get there asap,,,,,,,,,,

A/S was read out the tailpipe useing a snuffter probe

Yeah, me too. I think that Terry should be first (so his car has time to cool down). Then DJK, then myself that way I can help Terry swap out his plenum.

For future reference, do they have a 4WD dyno?

I'm restoring an old Toyota rally car on the side and I'll need to run a baseline run before I configure my AEM EMS and install my 3" turbo-back exhaust system.

Where do all the Audi S4/WRX/EVO people go?

I would be surprised if they had one. XS engineering is the spot for dyno tuning 4wd's

this is not a 4 wheel dyno. as mentioned by rickdogg, hit up xs engineering for the 4 wheel dyno.

Cool.

Thanks for the heads up regarding XS but aren't those guys kinda pricey?

They quoted me around $100 for an oil change for my Z.

They are very well known for tuning. You get what you pay for. Dyno tuning is not cheap. I wen't to Harv's Performance in Whittier since they also use a dynojet and tune utilizing a wideband O2 sensor.

Default 4WD Dyno & Quality Tuning...

If you want a 4WD Dyno and Quality tuning, you can go to BrainStorm Performance in Los Angeles, on Washington Blvd, off the 405. 310-313-0088

After reading the enter thread on A/F methods this is what I have to say.

I've dyno at Powertrain many times and have found them to be very professional. In fact at a recent dyno they tried several tailpipe probes to make sure the results where accurate.

Powertrain Dynamics, makes a living off of tuning cars, not dynoing, I'm sure the tailpipe method has merits, besides other then me, how many of you have pre-cat bungs weld into your cats anyway?

I'll ask Steve if he can make a two probe comparison when I dyno.

The GQ thread was written In April 04 and I know he had to replace a bad AEM meter whether it was before or after he wrote the thread or not I don't know.

With 20 cars dynoing it, would be impossible to do anything other than a tailpipe probe with the time and price allotted, even if you all had bungs in the right places. Anyway I'm dynoing and if you believe your A/F #s is up to you. but I would

I've got a pre-cat bung welded in for my Zeitronix Wideband. I wouldn't mind having the reading checked there as well as tailpipe for accuracy. Just have to make sure to unplug the sensor from your wideband unit before you start your car. It gets REAL hot REAL fast!

Alpine:

Does Brainstorm specialize in import turbos or do they do more general work?

Do you know if they have experience dyno-tuning the (Toyota) 3SGTE motor?

Thanks.

I saw him this morning & did mention our growing list for Jan. 8th. He said no problem & is expecting everyone. The price is good for 10 or more. You may want to confirm the 8AM start time as he normally opens at 9AM.

Just couldn't wait, could you!!!! Now your going to have to get over to T/S to have the reflash done,They have all the mods flashed already. Takes less then a hour "plug and play" to get you up to 258+ After the flash you'll just love the car.. Pick up is like night and day.

By the way what was your A/F like. You should of been in the 14's. After the reflash you'll be in the 12's. with the listed mods..

ZXsaint I haven't talked to Steve You better confirm with him and a start time of 9Am in Huntington Beach should be OK with everbody.
