congrats man. If I can offer some advice. It's not worth the speeding ticket racing a ghettobox civic. Get Aps Twin turbo. Our car is not a 2005 Z06 corvette. Arguing about looks on the internet is a waste of time.

Thanks! Turbo will eventually come later, but as of now I'm hunting for M3's. I'm planning on getting a few bolt-ons pretty soon.

M3 3.2L I6 > VQ35...

I don't believe any bolt-on or combo of bolt-ons will allow you to beat a E46 M3. Just a heads up in case you see one around..

I raced a 2004 M3 before I was broken in .. I lost by 2 car lengths including his own car, But now I know how to launch with less wheel spin, and I think I can beat him with a few bolt ons. With the same drivers no doubt the M3 will win, But theres difference in driver's skills. I hope

JIMRHIT beat an E46 M3 on a freeway run with Kinetix V4 Plenum and a Borla exhaust (Not true dual). Bullsh*t some might say? I think not....I've ridden in his car and it is exceptionally fast. The Plenum made a big difference and the acceleration literally slammed me into the back of my seat.

He also shifts so fast that I fear that his transmission may fall off in the next few thousand miles.

Just my opinion....some mod combos do make a substantial difference, which will give you that edge if you are a proficient driver.

There has been much discussion on some of the G35 forums on this topic and I think that the concensus is that unless you are runnin either FI or a 75 shot, you wont win. I personally used to have a BMW (740IL) and was very impressed with how a 280hp motor could put you in your seat in a 4500lb car. The M3 not only makes more horsepower than the VQ, but its motor is also incredibly refined.
