whats the advantage of swift with and without helper springs over the original fortune auto springs?

Swift springs are one of the best springs on the market. Although the springs that Fortune Auto already come with are very comfortable, swift springs are more response and an even better ride. The rear helper springs do just that. Help the rear spring during cornering/sliding.

Could you be a little more technical, I'm certain anyone who looks at this would appreciate a response that's more technical that just saying "swift springs are the best on the market" or "very comfortable" or "better ride" or "help the rear spring during cornering". How does it help the rear spring during cornering, does it keep it company and give it a shoulder to cry on when the going gets tough ?

If your going to sell coilovers that you claim to be track worthy and have the performance to back up a well performing time attack car, then you should know better and do better on explaining your products. Also you claim dyno testing, would you be willing to post examples of 350z shock dynos ? BTW im not trying to be a dick (im actually a surprisingly nice guy ) I am simply providing an opportunity for you to show us why these coilovers are BETTER than any other of the 10s of sub $1k coils out there.

No problem, i'll have Fortune Auto chime in here shortly. The rear helper spring helps keep the back corner tire from lifting off the ground while in hitting an apex. If your the car is not a full out track car i recommend sticking with the factory springs.

Also Fortune Auto has an 50mm inner diameter piston where as every other brand has 46mm inner piston. So it's BEEFY! and like i said before it is a TRUE coilover.

I too would love to hear from people that actually have these on their 350. I purchased a set from you Billy for my 240sx and absolutely love them. I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to "TRUE" Coilovers on a 350 as the design of the car was intended to have the OEM spring in the bucket. I know these go low so that's not an issue im concerned with, but how the ride actually feels. I don't track my car at all and don't plan to. It's strictly my DD.

IF anyone has these on their 350 please do chime in, i would greatly appreciate the feedback.

I'm not a suspension specialist but I know those are "Helper" springs, and what Billy (The sponser) described was a "Tender" spring. Tender Springs offer usable spring rate to compliment the main spring while the vehicle is moving, Helper springs are merely to keep the main spring from clunking around when un-loaded (such as wheel off the ground or close to becoming that). If you notice, some helper spring can be compressed by hand and when the car is on the ground it is completely compressed. Note, helper springs normally have a flat shape to the coils because thats how it will spend most of its time, flat and effectively a spacer.

oh I'm familiar with what a Helper spring is and know its purpose, the problem I have is the posts and responses that forum members allow vendors to get away with. Ive been around way to long on these boards and have seen crap products come and go through the classifieds without being so much as questioned by maybe one or two persons. Now of course if someone is just doing the jdm-cool-tight-yo-hellaflush things then sure, that same no questions crowd can go for the cheapest coilover and just ask: "how low can it go ?". However if a vendor pops in, introduces himself politely and presents a track worthy coilover that's "extensively shock dyno tested" then I damn well expect him to answer a simple question with a direct response (not another sales pitch) and have the ability to present at least a full stiff and full soft dyno plot.

Np Bro, to be honest I just wanted to correct the mis-understanding that was being set by the various explainations given. For example, the Swift spring is more than likely a better spring (True statement previously made by sponser) but the reasons given were not the best reasons or even consistant with the differences in spring quality. At a given rate the only differences that come to mind are rate consistancy and longevity (sag included). However, I'll hold out on passing judgement untill I see some plots.
