What's your definition of the cities? I thought those were pretty much centrally located except for Stillwater.

Suggestions for meeting location:
New TCF Gopher stadium
Parking lot on W River Parkway and Dinkytown Trail on the Miss river
Stillwater
Porsche dealership at 394 and 169
somewhere on Minnetonka (not too familiar with this area)
Times I prefer are morning, after 9am and before 11am. I like to drive when there's less traffic around and beat the crowds at our destination.

OH SNAP!!!!! Dave you might be onto something here!! The Gophers are AT Northwestern that Saturday meaning the parking lot would be FREEEEEE! We could bring in our TAILGATING Party ...w/out the game;-) haha
I actually like all of these ideas, moreso the Dinkytown trl on the MISS RIVER(great scenery), and TCF stadium!!

Sweet. I think the new stadium would be a cool place for pics. There's coffee shops around there, plus I've always wanted to find a parking garage in downtown Mpls to take group pics with the skyline as a background.
I'm always in the federal courthouse, so I see a lot of good spots.

Here is another Z. Only fair weather though. I don't like to drive in the rain. Coming up from the Rochester area. Hey, I drove Hwy 60 to Wabasha. Saw the TL marks on the road. I'd say he was definetly testing his tire grip ................... and lost.
Why is Dave always in the federal courthouse? Sounds suspicious.

Looks like MNSC is doing a 2 day cruise up to Duluth the same weekend we're getting together. Maybe some of us early birds can meet up with them in Forest Lake at the McDonald's to send them off.

So let's cut the BS and make a decision already!
Meet at the U at around 10am? Annie's is a cool burger joint right there on University and 14th (I think). We could take over that block and watch all the hotties stumble around after a hard night of partying.
After lunch there, we should have figured out by then where to go cruising.

Will be up at the U when the time is finalized. 40% chance of rain for Sat. Hopefully, it holds off or the clouds are all drained by Fri. What is Lake Harriet like for cruising?

K, EVERYONE, it sounds like there are NO LOTS that are "free parking". We may have to switch locations?
Everyone has been talking about Lake Nakomis?? Big parking lot, huge park, lots of area to do what we pleeeease??

**** me! stupid site sucks.... stupid multi-quotes don't work again
To answer some questions:
Yes, Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun are nice but Calhoun has more parking and so does Nokomis. Nokomis is easier to get to for everyone, and if datakman is coming up from Rochester, maybe we should meet at Nokomis. Calhoun is hard to get to from any direction, and there's lots of construction around there.
If we go to Nokomis, we could always hit Fat Lorenzo's for food and drinks. Plenty of parking on the street.
I'm personally not in the mood to grill if the weather sucks, but if we find a good spot at the lake and the weather is nice then I could do some grilling.
If people are willing to bring charcoal, drinks, chips, meat and bread, then let's do it. Otherwise, pick Annie's or Fat Lorenzo's for a place to meet and eat before the cruise.
