Ya know....
sometimes, it just doesn't seem worth it.
I now realize that the route we took was not Z-friendly...so call Mayor White and complain about what lousy streets Westheimer and Richmond are.
Maybe next cruise, he'll let us cruise around on the George Bush Airport Runway...that should be nice and smooth ! ...of course, I'm sure somebody would find SOMETHING to complain about.
There just aren't a lot of streets in Houston that DON'T have potholes, patches, construction and such.
I've already heard that the next cruise, up on I-10 is not a good idea because of all the construction in THAT area. The manager there at Red Robin's has offered us special parking and a discount on food-items, but I don't think she has any control over the construction crews.
Anyone familiar with that area? I'm sure not.
Would appreciate any input.
I'm REALLY surprised that VinUnleaded didn't find something to complain about.
OH !!! Silly me...I forgot...HE WASN'T THERE
I'm still glad that everyone seemed to have a good time, and am looking forward to the next one. Hopefully, everyone that was at this one AND MORE, will be at the next one

Dave, agree with you on the rough road conditions, anywhere in the Houston area is pretty much the same. I made my call to Mayor White, and he said being that I don't live in Houston, for me to eat dirt and stay in League City next time.
The route wasn't to bad for me, being that I stuck to the leader like glue, I know you would have driven faster, but you had a delicate passenger.
Anyway I had a great time, (didn't see any curbs in second gear), looking forward to the next get together.
LATER
Z32 Vert. (topless all the way)

i had a good time. wasn't expecting such a turnout, seeing as how there was hardly a blip of interest on here. some really cool Z's and some cool people. if we can get some discount at the Red Robin at I-10 and 610 I say we go for it.
and for the cruise.....Westheimer is a good raod when it's not jam packed (i.e. every fri/sat night). why dont we cruise on a freway? that way we can spread out and not get lost, also traffic will be much less. i'd suggest staying away from I-10, but 610, 290, I-45 north might be alright. maybe a little loop around the downtown area would be alright.
fell free to chime in...

Actually,
I've already got a cruise planned...in August !
It's gonna be a 610 Loop, late night cruise.
With no stop lights, we should be able to stay together
Just gonna have to watch out for them big-ol' 18 wheelers
This way, no one can complain about it not being on "their side of town".
Folks can get on and get off whenever they choose....but I'm planning on doing the whole loop
Can't decide on the date though.
The International Z Car Convention is right-smack in the middle of the month.
Don't know if I'm gonna schedule it for before or after the convention.
Stay tuned on this one.
Planning on doing several between now and then though...but I'm gonna need some help with the one's "up North" (North of downtown )

Damn shame I missed it! Sorry guys! I'll try and not be on call for the next cruise where ever it may be.
If yall wanna do a back roads type of cruise there are some cool roads out by grand park way and harlem near pecan grove. If yall want we can meet out near Katy and cruise out to the grandparkway, then head south and then really open things up after 99 aka grandparkway and Fry road.

Jr....hey dude....WE MISSED YA !
Sorry you couldn't make the last cruise.
Don't you just hate when your job gets in the way of your important stuff I know I sure do !
Cruising out on the West Side sounds good to me.
The last time I came back from Austin, I took 99 home (heading South) and was STUNNED at the development in the area.
Yea, there were a couple of areas that we could "air-em out", but how's the traffic? It was horrible when I was passing through (but that WAS a Sunday Evening). Hopefully you know of some secret areas that aren't so congested.
As my buddy Mike (aka-topless93) will vouch, I'm not above exceeding the speed limit by an extra 2 or 3 miles per hour , but you have to remember...a bunch of cool sports cars in a large group, already attract enough attention. Excessive speed gets the wrong kind of attention.
I don't want for all of us to get busted ! We could be mis-interpreted as a "gang problem"
Let me know when you want to do this, and we'll start makin' plans !

Hey Dave, yeah hate it when work gets in the way. Why did he have to get that heart transplant on that day?
Anyone in Katy know a place where we can meet? Any plans yet for the North side cruise?

Sorry I could not make the cruse guys but I will try to make one sometime this summer. My car should be done soon and I will need a good cruse to brake in the motor. Until my car is ready maybe I will catch a ride with Enron Exec or another one of ya’ll.
