The Formula D drift competition is coming to Houston June 11th.

I've yet to attend a drift event, but would like to.

I am 90% sure I will be there for the event.

Maybe we can get some of the Houston Zs to show up..

The big problem with turn out is that the Z Extravaganza is the same day.

I am going to try and coordinate a way to do both.

Well, wouldn't you know it.

I just got an invite to a party for my best friend for the SAME day. It wouldn't be that big a deal except he lives in LA and I only get to see him once or twice a year.

The picnic starts at 11am.

I might be able to make both, but won't be able to make the picnic, Extravaganza, AND Formula D.

What a dilema...

I'll let you all know what I decide.

You all should definitely plan to meet up first then drive there if possible.

Looks like it is Noon-10pm.

One possible downside for a group is it looks to be assigned seating, so if the group buys separately, I don't know if everyone can sit together. This is something to check out.

I checked out one of these type events a while back as an observer. It was hysterically funny at times. Def worth a good laugh!

 

Well, I have determined that I can make it, but it will have to be later in the day.

The event is from 12noon-10pm and I am thinking that I will be able to head down there somewhere between 3-5pm at the earliest.

Not quite sure what time yet. Gonna hit the even w/ 2 of my friends. I bought my tickets last night and of course could only get standing tickets. It's all good though. Hey artic if you want I can PM you my cell number so you can contact once you hit the event. Hey nexstage you've got my number just hit me up if you can make it up there.

 

That was a pretty sick event. I'll post some pics maybe tonight or tomorrow.

 

Lots of fun guys! It was hot as hell but worth it.

BTW: the Tsukuba record breaking CWest Carbon S2000 was on display!
