Dallas people...I've got my Z, I'm done with the Army field stuff, and I'm gonna be up in Dallas this weekend. (I'll be moving there on the 20th.) I've been to ONE meet so far, that was in Austin, and I didn't even have my Z yet. Anyone up for a meet Saturday or Sunday somewhere?

 

No snow at Fort Hood (2 1/2 hours south of Dallas), but one hell of a thunderstorm...

 

I can probably make it witrh my cracked fascia.......

According to my sources at the Weather Channel, Saturday is the only good day to meet. 70% chance of rain on Sunday.

 

So where's the place to meet? There seems to be a standard place, I forget the name of the restuarant, but it's got that big parking lot, I saw the Viper group there one time...anyone more familiar with it have suggestions?

Old Skooler, what is your vin#? and is your car a touring?

Curious about the factory Bose fix vs. the after factory amp replacement. I noticed one post from someone with a later VIN that said everything sounded great with good bass response.

I'm calling 1-800-NISSAN1 today to put in a complaint that the sound is now flat with no dynamics after the amp replacement.

Everyone else that had the amp replaced should also complain to 1-800-NISSAN1 if they notice the same problem.

This is the only way we'll get the problem fixed!

Sounds like a plan! I'm always down for a "get together". Just as long as the "elements" permit......... We've done Barbecue and Mexican so far. How about some great, cheap, (but tasty and HUGE portions!) Chinese Food? Plenty of parking. Near Beltline and Preston.

 

BigZ, my vin# is 4012, and no, no touring, just base. Pretty much all I could swing, being in the Army. Not that I'm complaining.

TXStyle, I'm down with Chinese! What's the name of the place? Does 4 o'clock Saturday sound good to everyone? I can make that no problem. I'll have my camera ready to go.

 

It's called "Rice Box". And this particular one I've eaten at for over 5 years! EXCELLENT food!!! But can we shoot for an earlier time frame? I mean, it gets dark at 5 pm around here. And we've had GREAT success meating @ 1 - 2.

Left onto Beltline and it will be on your Right (@ 1\4 mile) 2nd turn in after California Pizza Kitchen. If you get to Prestonwood Rd. make a right and another right into the strip center and come around.

wont the rice boxx parking lot be a little congested??? Theres a theater and couple other places around there and usually when i go to Rice Boxx, the parking lot is full.. but thats cool.. i'll be there in the TA.

 

NEGATIVE! Saturday afternoon is very thin at the Rice Boxx. Remember, I've been going there for years now.
