safelite is pretty good. they have lifetime warranty

 

just called, having appt. next friday, July 8th. They have mobile service for free.

Are you talking about Safelite? They quoted me same price. They also said if I bring in the car, they will deduct $20...

Yeah, they said if you bring in the car, they will discount you $20, plus it will only take one hr for them to do, whereas if they come out to you, it may take 1-5 hrs....but I was talking to a different location. Good luck. I htink I may get mine done tomorow...kinda nervous

Well I got it done today. Took about 1 hr. Total of $216. Also instead of using safelite Glass, they used PPG ( stamped on lower right ) Tech guy said the safelite one had a chip on it. So far its looks pretty good, I can see some minor flaws, but I'm VERY picky! Overall pretty good. I'll let you know later if there are any leaks * cross fingers*

 

Am I understanding this right... are you guys saying this Safelite company will install a new windshield for the Z for 220 bux? a dealer windshield is like close to 800 ... are you sure?

 

that's right Mike, that's what we got quoted, and visionboy got it installed, even with $20 discount for drive-in-replacement!

 

That's incredible. Is Safelite in Houston, Tx or somewhere else? I will have to look into it for my future needs. I replaced my gf's bmw 530i's windshield with the help of my uncle who's a manager of a glass place and another uncle who is semi managment at bmw and it still cost me 340 for her car.

 

Safelite has a branch in Houston. You can search for their website online and get a phone number. They are reallu pofessional and my windows looks brand new.
