Capital Z of Texas is hosting a three day weekend event which includes a meet & greet/detailing party, ZCCA judged and People's choice judged car show, an awards banquet, and a hill country drive. The dates for the event is Friday September 30 - Sunday October 2, 2005.

I work friday and possibly have the weekend off. Can I just meet you guys saturday? Where? Also, I see on that list you have an d "ultra modified z". Man I wanna see that. Anyways hope I can join your guys.

 

This is looking like it's going to be a great event. I missed last year's event due to vacation, but I'm really lookign forward to this one.

It's a Texas Mini-convention...something that's waaaay overdue.

The Z Club of Houston will be organizing a caravan to this event....

I live in Austin and hope to make it as well. I get the "pleasure" of taking my wife to see John Mayer in Orlando on Friday night, returning on Saturday afternoon to Austin.
Will there be an opportunity to meet others and check out z's on Sunday or is the Drive the only thing to do that day?

I'm from S.A. and I have Daytona Blue enthusiast. I used to go to the S.A. Z Meetings months ago, but I don't have the time now. It would be cool to go to the Best Buy and see some more Z's out there. Say hi if you see me @ a stop light or @ UTSA. My plate says "HAVOC" by the way...

I am looking at the info and am still a little confused. I am thinking about just driving up Saturday morning and looking around. Where exactly is this goung to be? What part of town? I don't know alot about Austin. I assume there will be a car show, will it be in the parking lot or in the convention center? Can you get into the convention center with out actually staying in the hotel?

I was not going to enter my car into the show, but I will probrably go out there on Saturday to see some cars. I want to do the Sunday drive too. Do I still need to register for the drive?.. I don't know.

 

All events will either be at the Woodward Hotel or originate from there. The hotel is located on the NE corner of Woodward and I-35.

The car show is on Saturday in the front parking lot of the hotel. The show runs from 9am - 3pm. All are welcome to come out and spectate.

If you're coming out for the drive on Sunday, there is no need to register. Just show up at the hotel Sunday morning at 10am. We'll leave promptly at 10:30am.

 

Doodz, thanks for that info. I'll be a spectator on Saturday and a participant on Sunday drive. Where is lunch at on Sunday?

 

Lunch destination for Sunday's drive is Opie's BBQ in Spicewood.
