Houston Cruise
O.K. Boys and Girls....I need your HONEST opinions !
A while back, I mentioned putting together a cruise after coming back from the International Z Car Convention. Well...I'm back, and am ready to roll, but am kind of worried about the present state of things.
With the price of premium fuel busting $3.30/gal.
do we want to do a cruise?
I absolutely refuse to be a prisoner in my own home due to the oil companies
, and am willing to put this together, but I need to make sure there is HONEST level of interest and participation.
Please post if you are/aren't in favor of having a cruise....and PLEASE don't jerk me around
. If you say you're gonna show up...SHOW UP !
Nothing short of another Kathrina (or my Wife) is gonna stop me from doing this !
....IF there is enough interest.
The second issue is the length of the cruise planned.
Everyone complained about getting seperated/lost during our last cruise , so this time, it's almost guaranteed that we should be able to stay together !
We're going to do a late-night (9pm) cruise around the 610 Loop !
No stop signs, not too much traffic..it should be do-able.
This way everyone would be able to meet, and get on/off wherever they choose to.
I'm planning on Sept.17th (Sat.)
I'm thinking that we could meet just South of Doneraki's Mexican Restaurant on the 610 Loop South (Gulfgate Shopping Area) around 8pm. pull out at 9pm.
Pull over and stop/re-convene at somewhere on the North Side (suggestions?) for a little tire-kicking...and pull back out after an hour, to finish the loop.
Please let me know if you're interested...

Yea,
I was really sorry to have to miss the Galveston Tour...after all...I'm an old B.O.I.
Y'all went by my house (kind of) on the way down, but I had just gotten in from New York the day before, and I was about Z'ed out from the convention !
The pictures look great !!!
Glad there was such a great turn-out and the weather looked like it was perfect !
I'm kind of worried about future cruises with the price of pee-trol.
Hopefully, this will blow over and return to something a little more realistic....but I kind of doubt it.
The CEO'S of the oil companies are laughing all the way to the bank, and they're having waaaay too much fun right now.
BWWAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
