Default Got tune shop in austin?

Going FI in about a week and need to know who can tune my car after install for a reasonable price. I will use my car as a daily driver so I need it done right the first time. Any suggestions? I heard about a shop called protech. Anyone have info on them? Thanks!

SGP Racing in Houston. the guys there are great, and really know what they are doing. its Z heaven in the garage area (300's, 350's, G35's) and a 1000hp Supra just for ***** and giggles.

I'm not too sure about Pro Tech now, but in the past they had lots of problems tuning the Z32.

You can check with Kuah over at SPLPARTS.COM. He did the tuning on Cal's car (white supercharged 350) as well as another local FI 350.

Who's doing the install on your car? I would think if they can install it, they should be able to tune it.

Me and 3 2 other guys are going to install. Since the kit is labeled a "bolt on" kit I think it should be okay for us to do ourselves, but as soon as we have it in and complete then I want to drop it off at a tune shop so they can check the A/F and stuff like that. Im new to this so what exactly do I need tuned? Doodz you should know since you have the tt 300.

Gatti and tortuga,

Ill have to think about that one, maybe in a parking lot or out where I live. There is a long road between 35 and my house so you 2 can drive it there. Only If I get to drive your rides. Oh and if you blow it then you pay for it. =)

Doodz,

Cal was the one that mentioned that Protech shop. I asked him where he got it tuned and that was his response.

i will give you 2 grand lol. Thats all i got. why not sell some of those mods and use the extra cash to pay for the install. Call jap auto tech. You get a 10% discount there and they may surprise you with how cheap they are.

i got a quote from a shop in san antonio. 400 for the turbo and about 300 or less for the clutch and fly. I think they would throw in the exhaust for free. who installed your exhaust gattiman? Anyways I dont want to wait. I need to get this all out the way so I can work on other things. unless someone can throw me 5500 for the turbo and jwt combo ill keep it and probably put in this weekend as scheduled. I want to get it in before it gets cold outside.

I did my exhaust myself solid. If you want just get some low profile ramps and a few pieces of wood and i can do it for you too. $400 for a turbo? thats really really cheap. Flywheel sounds about right to me. Is your exhaust just a standard 3 piece? Its about a 2 hour total job including set-up time (assuming its 2 people).

Im in SA.... curious where you got the quote from? I was looking at a Greddy TT setup and was quoted around $500-600 (10 hr install according to them) from a smaller shop. Now thats without tuning (dynos, etc)...straight plug and go. If you have the Greddy kit (guessing by price mentioned), from what has been posted, it may require a bit more equipment and tuning to be safe. Good luck. I like the idea about waiting and saving...we need more FI Z's down here!
