Default houston people - rear axles clicking

i just recently bought my 04 Z and I notice that my rear axles are clicking everytime i shift into gear and when i go over a speed bump. My car is still under warranty and I went to mossy nissan on i-10 and dairy ashford. they said that this is not covered, and they refused to fix the problem. has anyone in houston have had this problem, and if so, which nissan dealership did u go to to fix this?

Also, my car seems to be pulling to the right slightly. Is this covered under warranty too??

There is a TSB on that problem. It is the wheel bearings. I had mine fixed at Tom Peacock Nissan. How many miles are on the car?

I had the same problem and took it to Tom Peacock Nissan on i-45 and they fixed it under warranty. I believe it was the wheel bearings that needed to be replaced. I think there is a TSB out for this.

Not sure about the alignment.

i know i don't live in houston, but i am in college station right now. i had back axle clicking when i still lived in dallas. i had the back axles replaced by Bankston nissan. now, they are louder than they used to be. as far as i can tell, there is not a performance loss from it or safety issue, so i just try to ignore it.

They should cover it under warranty!!! Talk to a guy named Jose Vaglienty. He is the guy I talked to...fixed with no problems.

I tried to go to Tom Peacock for that TSB. They said it has to be under my vin number for them to do work on it. that's total bs. demand that they fix it.

Remember that our powertrain warranty is 5 years/60,000 miles.

Even if our bumper to bumper 3 years/36,000 is over, we can still get fixes for anything related to the engine or drivetrain. That should include axle clicking.

Heck I want to bring my car in for that now.

Here you go bud, just print this out and show it to them. I went to Tustin NISSAN and showed him this TSB and they fixed it within a day (although i made an appointment). They should not have a problem once you show them this:

No, I had no trouble. I told them exactly what it was. Go back and talk to Jose.

I just called Nissan USA and they said a specialist will call me tomorrow. Honestly the axle clicking isn't that bad, but I want to make them fix something for once.

they should fix this without a problem. even if the car was a 2nd hand car, they have to honor the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper....just go to another dealer if you can. the stealership should do the work without any hassle.
