I just got back a couple hours ago from Houston. It was a long 14 hour drive and my team (Iowa State) lost but I had a real good time.

We stayed at the Hilton down by the Galleria and it was pretty decent for the price. I'm happy we didn't stay by the stadium since it looked kind of rough.

Everyone we met was friendly.

I was a little dissapointed with Nasa Space Center. We had fun at Fox Sports bar on the Galleria. We also had fun sitting next to the gulf on some piere just drinking beer. The woman had a good time shopping at the Galleria.

The food was great. My two favorites were on opposite ends of the spectrum. ***o de Chao was awesome with great food and service. It was a little pricey at $130 for 2 people. The other place that was good was some little BBQ place by Reliant Stadium. I don't remember the name but it was awesome.

Reliant stadium is probably the nicest stadium I've ever been to in the NFL.

BTW-I had my best customer service ever while at ***o de Chao.

While chowing through what I think was my 5th pound of meat, I splashed a little sauce on my shirt. I looked over to my wife and said "do you happen to have one of those wipes". She said no and within 1 second there was a guy standing there with a small Shout wipe that he pulled out of his pocket. I didn't ask him or anything but he was so close he could here what I said to my wife. Now that is service.

Yes, I agree, they have excellent service. Man, I live about 2 intersections down from there. It was a beautiful weekend too. I'm glad you had a good time in Houston. Let us know when you're returning.
