Default Track time, Houston Area Z's

Have you ever LEGALLY driven your Z, the way it was meant to be driven?
Well, here's your opportunity.
We've rented the new track...Motorsport Ranch Houston, for the day. We're shooting for January 13th. This is a Friday.

For those of you that are geriatric-phobic, and think that the Z Club of Houston is nothing but a bunch of old farts (you would be sooo wrong)...this is NOT being hosted by them. We've been invited and are just helping to get the word out. In fact the main guy drives a new Z06 Corvette....so this is not a Z specific event.

Rather than drag on about it here, send me an email to:
zcardave@houston.rr.com
and I'll get you what information I have on it (it's still being planned and depends on the response we get...which so far has been very good).

I need to learn to drive before I try to track the car Dave. Wish I could make it out there, sounds like fun. If it is during the day, most have to work. If it is at night, there is a meet planned for that evening.

This is during the day, so that most people who work would have to take a day off (like me). Hmmm...let's see....work or race?, work or race? That's a real tuffy

I'm not griping here...just an observation:
This is one of the things that amazes me the most about 350Z Owners. Most would rather show their cars, even though it's one of the hottest setups around (a nice little track-monster).
Yet the original Z Owners rarely showed up at car shows, but were at almost every track event...even though they were usually out-gunned.
I don't get it...but then again, I don't get this drifting thing either

Tru-you wuss don't use that lame-o excuse about not knowing how to drive...you've got it in your blood (check with your Uncle). If nothing else, I'll teach you a move or two

I was hoping to get a few more Z's out there.

...plus it IS a long-assed drive for all you Dudes and Dudettes on the North Side.
MSR Houston is 7 miles North of Angleton.
That would be a pretty lengthy drive for some of you !

It's not THAT lame. Actually, I can't take off work right now. I mean, I could, but they would probably kill me. We are swamped. Yes, I actually HAVE to start working for a change. I would love to go, you know me, always ready for a race, but the timing it not good for me. Remember, we are a new breed of Z owners. Times change...

Those excuses good enough Dave?

Aw Tru...you know I couldn't help messin' with ya
Actually, I figured you would probably come out there and kick my butt on the track !
I know about the job thing...it sometimes sure does get in the way of having a good time.
Hopefully, you (and some of the others) can make it next time.

Lamo, I had to do the same! But I am going for sure! So, if anyone else is going and wants to join me early on friday I will be heading up to the track.

Also, I plan to make the meet here in houston that same day. Since it is at 9pm I should have no problem making it on time just might be a little low on gas

I'll know by like Thursday if I can make it out. I definately wanna make it out and be back in town for the meet too. Just a whole day devoted to enjoying my car. So the car may be dirty, low on gas and squealing when I hit the brakes but I'll be at that meet for sure.
