So funny that you just ordered wheels.....sooooooo funny, I just posted on your other thread that I thought you should get wheels first. I think it's awesome that you went with the 9.5/10.5 combo. They're right though, there are probably a lot of places that have them in stock already.
What front/rear offsets did you get?

i'm so jealous.. i love VOLK SF CHALLENGES!!!! They're my fav rims at the moment.. dang.. you lucky.. if i had the money i'd get the same thing.. 9 (or 9.5) in the front and 10.5 in the back all in merc silver..
the off set is....+28/+23 that should give me a nice almos 4in lip in the back....pics will be up when i get them in....witch is like in 3 months...but when i get the EVO2 on (i hope this friday night) i will put pics of that i guess. Im hopen that the mercurry silver is going to look good on my car....
Yeah, with a +23 offset on a 10" rim you need to be careful what size tires you run. 275/35 is the closest to factory rear tires sizes, but it will be a little stretched on a 10.5" rim. 285/30 should fit the width fine, but the over diameter is much smaller than factory. If you have VDC, you'll probably have to drive with it off constantly. 285/35 would be ideal, but with that offset you are sure to rub the rear fenders. I'm not into cutting/rolling the rear fenders.
You know Tim's car right? The Silverstone TT that was at the meet last weekend with the Volk SF Winnings? He has 10.5" rims in the rear with a +22 offset on 275/35's. His rear fenders were professionally rolled though....I don't think it needed it with those tires, but if he goes lowered with the car or larger with the tires he will.
Another thing that could save you is your negative camber in the rear. If you have enough camber, you could clear the fenders fine...but you'll wear the **** out of your tires.

see there is the thing im kinda woried about...but the guy i bought them from he had a Z and he had the same exact weels and he was fine o i hope i will be ok also....
I dont know that much about the tires so there is a problem for me but i just seem to tust what people say if they have had them bofore..

The brand of tire is equally important. Let's say a 275/35R19 clears in a Toyo T1-R, that same tire size might not clear in a 275/35R19 Nitto or Falken, etc.
So I guess you already have the offset. The other variables are......
tire brand
tire size
amount of drop in the rear of the car
amount of negative camber
unless you actually want to roll your fenders....those are all the things I'd be thinking of for the next 3 months.

if your gonna go 275/35 in the rear on a 10.5" wheel make sure you go with tires with thicker sidewalls like BFG KDW-2's or Bridgestone SO3's, Toyos walls are thin and will look really really stretched, absolutely stay away from falken.

I think 285/35/19 is basically the standard size tire for upgraded wheels on the Z. People are getting the 295/35/19 now and are still fine.

I don't doubt that there are people with these tires sizes NOT rubbing, but with his offset? And what kind of camber are they running as well? I was just saying that for his particular offset...it could easily be an issue.
