Default Pop Charger????????

Guys,

I have no idea what a Pop Charger is and why I would put it on my Z.

How about educating this old man.

Thanks

It's a differently designed air intake compared to the stock air intake box. It is also referred to as a short ram air intake, allows for more air to get pulled in and should give you a slight boost in HP:

It is a cone filter with an aluminum part that bolts on to your intake to smooth out the inlet air. Little gains but it Sounds great. I would do it again just for the sound. It replaces your stock intake box. heres mine

I am just starting to educate myself as well on this msayers. These things sound really, really cool from one of the video clips I heard. Almost sounds like the air being sucked in on a turbo.

Doesn't sound whiny either. I definitely want to pick one up in a month or two.

By the way - does anyone know if this comes in any other color other than the blue? I know that's probably a cheesy question but hey - would be nice to keep parts somewhat color coordinated

The blue color is from the oil on the filter. I use K&N oil on mine and it is now red. If you can find a different filter oil in a different color then that is the color the filter will look. It has blue oil on it from Jim Wolf.

Did you install it yourself or have it done?

I installed mine myself. Very easy instructions that only took me 15 min. to install. Just a couple of bolts and two screws.

I installed it myself, I don't work on cars, and it only took about 30 minutes. All you need is a screwdriver and a 10mm ratchet.
