Is anyone ready for an end of summer cruise thru the hills? I know the heat is still here but the summer is winding down and it is time get some lasting memories of my first summer in SAT. I'd like to get a group together for a cruise, lunch, and some good photos. I hope to have my "project" done in time. I was thinking about possibly next weekend as this is a holiday weekend. sounds fun.. to bad yall cant come to austin. Its too hot to drive to SA and then go on a long cruise. just cruise up here and we can drive to lime creek.

 

I'll be cruising near Leaky on the weekend of Oct. 28. People are welcome to join me if you can keep up.

Hey guys, I'm game on any weekend cruise. I'll be in Dallas this weekend but will try to make it other times. If you schedule them on Sunday mornings, I have a better chance of attending. There are a lot of good routes in the Hill Country besides Austin. Austin gets too crowded and traffic is sometimes unpredictable even on weekends.

Here are a few recommended areas where it is not as crowded, much less traffic and an abundance of scenic routes. Up on 281 or IH10, lunch in the Kerrville & Fredericksburg area and west to Bandera. Or reverse these routes. And there are plenty of other routes in-between.

 

What? you don't know where Leaky, TX is? And you call yourself a Z owner? Well, I am sure that you know where Helotes is right? You know where hwy 16 north is? Well head up 16 north to Bandera, then when you get to Medina, TX you turn on FM337 and head out towards the twistiest road in Texas. Then you will end up in Leaky. From there you can do a 100 mile loop down some of the twistiest roads in Texas. FM335 is like a freaking rollercoaster, FM336 is technical and then FM337 which is nice and tight. It is a favorite of many a motorcyclist.

this saturday works for me. Im off work. I work sundays till 7pm so You guys decide. Im game. Need to see how good my new tires are on dry roads.

The work on my car will not be completed until next week so my car WILL be available to me. ill ask him but he was here last weekend for the hill country ride. not too sure he would wanna take another trip up here. call and ask him. but anyways if we dont cruise you guys should meet me at the HEB parking lot in hutto and 79. its just outside of round rock. lots of vipers and vettes go up there to park and chat. no racing..haha. starts about 7pm/ call me on my cell doc if u come on down. 2-1-0-21-5-7-5-44
