Default Who Knows...

Ok... except for the select few that helped me out with this one... (that's enough clues)

Who Knows what this is:

Good Luck!

no i used a Kodak with 4.1 megapixels... but it's really difficult to get a good close up picture of this little item with a standard digital camera...

I was going to take another few pics but the battery died and i don't have spares...

so if too many people complain about blurry pics i'll see about getting new batteries...

but yes you are right!!! that is a keyboard... now on to the main event!!!

You can hit the flower button on the camera and take some up close pictures. It is also called the macro button.

Also, I noticed that the item is brass. So it could be something for a grounding item or a tool or device used around explosive fuels. (no sparks)

yeah i think that the camera auto-focused onto the keyboard instead of what i aimed at...

the camera is my work camera so i'll bring some batteries and see about getting some better pics for ya!

Your camera lens will not be able to focus at that range, all lens have a min. distance a object must be at, unless you have an external marco lens. The distance of the keyboard is properly the closet you can get; also better lighting will aid in the auto focus finding the edges

No, what's funny is, you don't know how to use the camera. So much for the initial question.

yeah we have gotten a little off topic... and i know how to use the camera it's just that this little object is smaller than a shot-glass... so getting a pic of it that doesn't just look like a turd sitting on my desk is difficult...

I think that it is rather funny b/c people on this forum have generally taken every part of their cars apart... but i guess the right person just hasn't visited this thread...

however useless it is...

so finally...

it is the inside of the stock shift ****... me and a few other Z car guys...Z_Freak and SmokyTyres recently swapped shift ***** around in our cars... thing is... for some reason, Nissan used some sort of threadlock on the **** and shaft... so in order to get the **** off, we (mostly Z_Freak) cut the stock **** in half to see if it would just fall off the shaft... no luck... this little hunk of metal was in the center of the leather wrapped plastic and rubber...

So to conclude this... Thanks To the guys that helped out with this... i don't know what i would have done with out you all...

I turned mine by hand. Came off with no problems. Maybe that's why we didn't know what it was?

Yeah, my G35 **** I spun right off. Piece of cake. Lock tight and all. On the Automatic Z you just pull a clip and bingo, off it comes. Maybe you F'd up and didn't know how to get a shift **** off. If so, you shouldn't be working on your car. And now we see you also cannot operate a camera either. Maybe you should stay away from mechanical items. Lol...just mess'n with ya.

yeah thanks man... but i'm sure if you'd have been there you'd be just as surprised as i was...

in the same night Z_Freak removed his shifter also... it came right off so we thought the same thing would apply to mine but we thought wrong...

I don't know how or why it was "threadlocked" but it sure as he77 was, and even with the towel... the leather started to get all F'ed up... so i just said to F' it... just tear it all to ****... i just want to get the little sucker off of there... lol

so we did... it was quite fun... yeah... lol fun
